Chihuahua puppy born with love-heart pattern in fur

A puppy has been born in Japan with a large, clear, love-heart-shaped pattern in his coat.

The chihuahua was born in May as one of a litter to a breeder.
Shop owner Emiko Sakurada said it was the first time a puppy with the marks had been born out of a thousand she had bred.
She had no plans to sell the puppy, which has been named "Heart-kun".

Surely it's illegal for a puppy to be that cute?

I hope it is a nasty little ankle biter.

It'd be kind of humiliating if you had to report it to the police for biting you. "Well....it was very small and had a love heart on it's back"

The chihuahua kinda looks like Matthew Broderick, especially around the eyes.

Why can't I just accept there is a cute puppy born with a heart shape patch in its fur instead of having this nagging thought that it's a lie.

The same thing went through my head last night watching a David Attenborough planet earth video. I can't look at any image anymore without wondering about effects/enhancements etc...

Those are cute dogs, but I prefer a dog bigger than say, a rat. The chi-hoo-ah-hoo-ah doesn't even look like a chi-hoo-ah-hoo-ah yet.

I don't believe that picture with the horse.

Don't like little yappy dogs, but you got to admire Chihuahua's attitudes.

That second one sleeps like Pilau on my little two seat sofa.

Shawnee - I will have to take a picture of our Wolfhound X...shes gorgeous.

Turn your head the other way -it's big fat arse.

I recommend puppy nose pate for an appetizer, followed by crispy puppy a l'orange with avocado-stuffed paws. And might I interest you in the most darling fur handbag?

In 1987, while Broderick was vacationing in Northern Ireland with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Grey (who'd played his sister in Ferris Bueller), he steered his rented BMW into the opposite lane and it collided head-on with an oncoming car. Margaret Doherty, 63, and her daughter Anna Gallagher, 30, were killed. Doherty's son Martin Doherty was crippled. Broderick and Grey were slightly injured. Broderick, whose blood tested negative for alcohol, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and under Irish law he could have been imprisoned for five years. He was convicted only of careless driving, and fined $175. The family of the dead were understandably furious. Broderick has since said he's "willing to" meet with Doherty to apologize, but he hasn't.

He was a pure Chocolate Lab. His name was O.D. for Our Dog. He was amazing.

Wow, twelve years - I guess you grew up with O.D. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Thanks. Yea, he did grow up with me. We got him when I was in kindergarten and I just graduated a month ago. Lots of good memories with him. But he was just so sick today that there was no saving him so he basically told us it was time for him to go. That's comforting at least....kinda :-/

Sorry for your loss Malz. Welcome to the Cellar, sorry it had to be under these circumstances.

I know it's hard, but you're right: he knew it was his time.

And those good memories will last forever... the most important part of a good friend never really dies.
