What's your heart rate RFN?

Post your heart rate, right here, right now.

Me, at rest, very relaxed: 16X4=64bpm

80 (I can't take a radial pulse to save my, or anyone else's life. I take a mean blood pressure, though.)

DucksNuts 06-22-2007 05:39 AM

17x4 = 68

glatt 06-22-2007 07:58 AM

Arriving at work and getting organized for the day, I'm at 80.

SteveDallas 06-22-2007 08:45 AM

I was at 80 as soon as I opened the thread, but if I had seen wolf's sphygmomanometer first, I'm sure it would have been 95 or 100.

BigV 06-22-2007 09:44 AM

68 bpm

LabRat 06-22-2007 10:28 AM

Me, right now 15x4= 60 bpm.

Eating red hots. YUM!!

Carotid pulse. I never take it radially.

Sundae 06-22-2007 10:45 AM

I did this in my summer school psychology class. My resting heart rate was 52 and our teacher then told us we had 3 minutes to get ready for a one minute self intro speech to the class. My heart rate rose to 64. Example of psychology, I guess.

So, you people working out, I was wondering if it's been enough time for you to see a difference in your RHRs. Better physical fitness correlates with a lower HR (a more fit heart pumps blood more efficiantly).

While waiting for my prescriptions yesterday, I took my BP at the fancy testing chair by the pharmacy. 106/60, heart rate 62.

ZenGum 10-31-2007 10:57 AM

16 x 4 = (pulse spikes as I do maths) 64.
My main exercise is a running for the train, chasing small kids around a room, and a little weight lifting.

SteveDallas 10-31-2007 11:05 AM

78.

glatt 10-31-2007 11:08 AM

80, again.

Sundae 10-31-2007 07:19 PM

Yes - I have noticed a real difference.
70 (give or take about 4 given my dyscalculia)

A definite improvement thanks to exercise and weight loss.

DanaC 10-31-2007 07:27 PM

mine was 74 (with a similar caveat to Sundae's)

jinx 10-31-2007 08:56 PM

64 rfn. Lowest ever was 44, which set off alarms, lol...

lumberjim 10-31-2007 11:51 PM

Interesting!! What were you doing when you took it? Technically, you are supposed to lie flat, completely still for at least 10 minutes than take it to get a good idea of your actual resting HR. I'm going to try to wear my heart monitor to bed some night to get an idea of what it is when I'm sleeping.

Assuming I don't have any good :doit: dreams...

TheMercenary 11-02-2007 05:53 PM

72. But if I meditate on it I can usually drop it to the low 60's or even the 50's.

Dude111 10-07-2020 02:04 AM

If I took it right it is 108 right now........

Gravdigr 10-08-2020 02:35 PM
