My daddy owns a grocery store...

...and in it he sells something that starts with: C M

(foods only, no brand names, no stupid answers like "chicken meat")

Spexxvet 05-29-2007 01:54 PM

No stupid answers? I'm outta heeere......

Flint 05-29-2007 01:58 PM

Let me clarify: The rule is if you are starting a round.
You can't make people guess for "chicken meat" or something that nobody ever says, just to make it harder.
It has to be a food item that actually exists, and as a courtesy, something that people have generally heard of.

Spexxvet 05-29-2007 02:05 PM

Cat Manure?
Cheesey Macaroni?
Creamy Margerine?

LabRat 05-29-2007 02:05 PM

custard mix?
cake mix?

Edited to add S S:

No, no, no. No, no.

You don't get to start a new one until you guess the current one.

theotherguy 05-29-2007 02:08 PM

cute, Mexican cashiers?

Wait, that would be cmc...

Griff 05-29-2007 02:14 PM

Chocolate Milk

Flint 05-29-2007 02:52 PM

No, it's not chocolate milk.

Corn meal would be another good guess, but it's not that either.

You might think Chex Mix, but that's a brand name! No brand names!

glatt 05-29-2007 03:09 PM

Corn muffins

curry marmalade

Flint 05-29-2007 03:11 PM

No, no. :::chuckle:::@"curry marmalade"

Shawnee123 05-29-2007 03:39 PM

Cosmo magazine. Oh, wait, that's a brand.

Cream of mushroom?

Flint 05-29-2007 03:41 PM

No, no. Cosmo isn't a food either.

Pie 05-29-2007 03:42 PM

coconut macaroons?

Flint 05-29-2007 03:43 PM

Good guess! But that's not it.

Pie 05-29-2007 03:46 PM

Shawnee123 05-29-2007 03:48 PM

"canteloupe melon" is exactly the kind of thing you would get your ass kicked for making people guess. Nobody says "canteloupe melon"

Shawnee123 05-29-2007 03:54 PM

lol! I suck at the rules!

Spexxvet 05-29-2007 04:00 PM

I'm just being goofy, it was a "tail post" (chocolate milk was guessed on page one!) My fault actually, I should be compiling them.

Rexmons 05-29-2007 04:48 PM

That is correct. "Cranberry Muffin" - nothing fancy, no exotic ingredients or questionable adjectives.

That is how you play "The Grocery Store Game" ... and now, jinx provides us with our next edible, non-brand-name food item:

jinx 05-29-2007 10:46 PM

Woohoo!

We definitely dont have Cranberry Muffins. We have muffins...choc chip, banana, double choc - choc chip, Raspberry/Blueberry.

Cranberries are only really used for juice, or dried in Ice Cream Cake down here :)

Flint 05-29-2007 11:19 PM

Give them a break, the poor savages just got CHEERIOS about a year ago...right?

Flint 05-29-2007 11:22 PM

Oh, and by the way: GRANNY SMITH MOTHAFUCKIN' APPLES . . . and I forfeit my turn. Goodnight!

...lest the thread devolve into utter chaos: I propose jinx goes again, and we continue the one turn at a time sequence. Goodnight!

jinx 05-29-2007 11:27 PM

Holy shit, you're right.

Flint 05-29-2007 11:30 PM

Been playin' this game my whole life, sweetcheeks. Whose your daddy? Because mine owns a grocery store. Well...not really.
