Jesus Loves You !

The time has come," Jesus said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God

I think the time has come to ban this person.

Elspode 03-14-2007 04:42 PM

Jesus loves you so much that he allows some of his "celibate" employees to actually demonstrate to you, physically, how much he does, in fact, love you. The demonstrations start out when you're pretty young, though, so don't forget to talk to your kids about the birds, bees and Jesus.

rkzenrage 03-14-2007 09:16 PM

That Jesus loves me &/or the kingdom of god is near.
Reasonable discussion to have.

But neither did you!

By the way, in the English language pronouns are not capitalized, not even personal ones.

(P.S. What's a bot?)

You are God. Therefore she is correct. A man's home is his castle, so the kingdom of God is closer than you thought after all. I am God, therefore I am. Makes sense to me.

Anyway, Jesus doesn't need to love me.
He's got lots of friends.
I see them outside the "Home Depot" all the time.

Jesus Loves You !

I am getting ready to go out for some mexican food and rita's, I will ask him when I get there.

CzinZumerzet 04-03-2007 05:37 PM

Jesus was a porter in the hospital where I trained and every afternoon between about 3 and 4 rode up and down the main lift/elevator selling the best weed ever. It was his mobile shop and staff & patients rode along to get the best deals. :joint: Peace & Love

Jesus van, I like it. I don't want it, but I like the idea of selling Jesus, sort of like a church on wheels. Jesus for sale, guess it is not unlike a bricks and mortor church, eh?

Wow. I never thought I'd say it, but I'd like to buy Jesus.
Jesus would help me out no end at this point.

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

You all ought to have some respect for God and His Son. Hasn't Jesus suffered enough (on the cross) without you continuing to mock him two millenia later? Or are you so insecure about yourselves that you have to slander other peoples' deities to feel good? For "tolerant" people, its fascinating that you cannot tolerate Christians or holiness.

You mean like this good Christian?:

I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good. Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called on by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism.

No, fool. It's people that are so stupid they run around screaming intolerance, when in fact it is their intolerance that blots out the Son*.

If Jesus died for all of mans sins, did He not die for the sins of Judas Iscariot also?

If not, why?

Are not the sins of Pontius Pilate also forgiven?

What of Cain, recognized as the first murderer? Are his sins forgiven?

What is the limit of forgiving?

Are Hitlers sins forgiven?

Pol Pot? Stalin? Jeffery Dahmer?

Just wondering...

Well, yeah. The way I tend to view un-Murdochian (read: actual) Christian forgiveness is like this. Picture a guy on the sidewalk behind a Psychiatrist Lucy from Peanuts-esque desk. He's handing out free money. Trick is, you gotta ask for it. If you do, cool: here's some money. If you don't, the guy behind the desk will be bummed because hey - why turn down free money and be miserable? But hey, your call.

Root theory of the Crucifixion in its basic sense (which is all I got from sporadic CCD classes as a kid plus amateur theology research of my own) works as follows: "All the bullshit you'd have to go through post-death to get into Heaven? I (Jesus) cut through all that. You don't owe Me anything - it's like that person that walks around and puts a quarter in your parking meter just before it expires. Just ask to be let through the door, and you got it. All I ask is that you not be a schmuck. If you happen to engage in schmuck-like behavior, it's cool, just own up to it and we're golden. Should you choose not to ask to get in, well, it's a bummer but it's your life."

Gannet495 08-07-2007 08:59 AM

He died for every sin. Sin entered the world through Adam, and the justification of sins by Jesus blood covered all sins.

People benefit from said forgiveness of sins by believing in the Savior that saved them. Jesus clarified what HE considered sin in the book of John:

Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

v9: sin = unbelief in Jesus.

So he has cancelled the debt of all individual sin, and it has become that unbelief in Jesus is the only sin remaining.

But, we will all give an account for our works, and for every idle word we speak.

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Crimson Ghost 08-08-2007 02:58 AM

Sin entered the world through Adam?

Does not the Bible say that Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree Of Knowledge, and because of her, man was cursed with "Original Sin"?
===
So he has cancelled the debt of all individual sin, and it has become that unbelief in Jesus is the only sin remaining.

What of murder? A murderer can believe in Jesus. Using your statement, murder is not a sin, if you believe in Jesus.
===
But, we will all give an account for our works,

Fine. I have no problem with that.
===
and for every idle word we speak.

Define "idle word".
What, EXACTLY, is meant by that phrase?
===
And what of those who lived before Jesus?
Those who couldn't follow and worship him?
Are their souls cast into the torment of Hell?
Or did they get a free pass to Heaven?
What of those who do not believe in Jesus or your version of Heaven?
What of the babies murdered on orders of Herod?

What, also, of Longinus? He who pierced the side of the Christ?
What of Barrabbas?
What of Cain?

yesman065 08-08-2007 07:45 AM

OH and answer those questions in your own words
Try it - no cheating either

jester 08-08-2007 03:58 PM

"And what of those who lived before Jesus?"

they had priests & prophets. once a year each family would bring a sacrafice and the priest would take it into the temple and make a "burnt sacrafice" for the whole family, to atone for the sins over the past year.

xoxoxoBruce 08-08-2007 04:35 PM

The priests ate well.

I'm curious, if homosexuality (that one version of sodomy, no one seems to care about anal or oral sex between married couples, also biblical sodomy and the same abomination) is a sin (the bible does not call it that, but we'll let that go), what are the other 613 abominations?
If they are also sins, why are people not picketing Red Lobster (eating sea bed animals) or tailors (mixed thread garments)? :headshake
They are the same.
