Not particularly.
More skin is better than less skin performance wise, cleavage is encouraged greatly as are reasonably short skirts. The official dress code is *smart casual* though. |

Once I got advice on how to get a promotion...but I dont think that counts. |
I once had sex with my boss, but I didn't get a promotion. I did get engaged though.
He turned out to be a fuckwit though...so that's another story. |
do you have male and female coworkers performing the same tasks?
|
Ohhh over here, truck stop food is highly coveted. The prices of food over there are a bit funky. Considering you work on the tip system n all.
Our waiting staff get $16 to $18+ per hour and our prices are very similar....but in most other circumstances our costs are heaps more....the only place I found eating out prices in line was in Hawaii. You aren't working at a truckstop are you? |

Ali, they always say...."its not who you know, its who you blow". |
duckie is the fuel island girl ???
|
Nah - sorry zippy, I edited to add in the quotes because foot3 was posting at the same time I was.
|
Tanning parlor?
|
A lot of cleavage is encouraged--but you have male coworkers doing the same tasks...
You don't serve food--but you occasionally give away alcohol for free... You imply that some customers may be in "varying" degrees of clothing--but towels are not involved... You occasionally handle money and give advice, but not most of the time. You provide both goods and services, and it is a large enough business to be in the top ten in the industry. And you claimed that it should be easy to guess what you do? :eyebrow: |
Cruise Director? (Oh wait, there would be towels there. Ditto for the tanning parlor I guess.)

OK OK - regarding the above things.. Its not part of *my* job but we do handle large sums of money. Cleavage is encouraged, I work with guys and have a *decent rack*, of course its encouraged. There is no respect for sexual harassment laws at my place of employment. I'll give a whopping clue...shall I? Someone else here is in the same industry and *part* of my job is their job. If you use the 6 degrees of separation (alot less though) the industry I work in has been mentioned :D You probably wont guess my actual job. |
Oh we have the same X tho LJ, ours is definately a duhdoh! noise, although Family Feud has only just came back on with ole moonface.
|

No, she works in an automobile dealership!
|
oh, that makes all KINDS of sense.
|
Especially the parts about drinking and cleavage.
|
:D yay UT!!!!
Spot on, I told you some of my previous comments would make sense when you knew where I worked. I am Business Manager at a New/Used Car Dealership and I write Finance ;) |
the cleaveage close! a distinct advantage, indeed. the porn addict finance manager. my partner has many of our buyers on his porn email list. gets deals bought that shouldn't get bought because of his raport with them, too.
|
So you SELL cars just like LJ ??? ;)
Whod'a thunk it !!! |

The Porn addict is the business owner, he sells and writes, I run the show... Mechanics, Salesteam, Admin team etc.
I'm only exploited if its thought I will have more luck with the customer. I prefer to do finance and the other stuff....I dont like selling cars. Our more open minded customers (we have alot of repeat business) are always subjected to the latest and grossest porn emails. |
you make it sound like a small operation. what type of shingle hangs out front? ( i wonder if car jargon translates?) ....that is....what make of new car franchise is it? how long have you been in the car business?
whyinthehell haven't you told us that you're a scumbag like me? |
Its not huge, but its successful.
"Shingle"?? dont use it over here, but we are Ssangyong and Suzuki with around 80 used cars. Odd ball stuff which suits our area. Thats why we are the #4 seller of Ssangyong Australia wide and #8 in Suzuki (which we only started selling this year). I didnt mention it previously, because my co-workers can be the epitome of sleazy car dudes (but they are stand up guys) and I knew alot of my little stories would have people going "uhuh, see, sleazy car salesmen". I was interested when reading yours and lookouts exchange regarding fluff. *edit - I have been in the retail industry for 5 years, before that I used to work for a V8 Supercar team (NASCAR equivalent) and I was also a *pit bitch* for a few years :)...sooo I have been in the automotive industry for about 10 years I guess. |

What's the skinny on the SX4? Selene's boss, if he ever gets off his duff, is supposed to buy her one as a company car soon. We test drove one, and really liked it a lot. The Grand Vitaras had very nice pricing, considerably lower than the new SX4, and with bigger engines, more room and more bells and whistles...but much lower fuel economy for a comparable 4x4. So...what's the insider's view on the SX4? Be honest...after all, we won't be buying it from you anyway. |
Meh - I'm not a whole lot of help there, but I can find out.
The SX4 wont be released here until 2007 :( but we had a dealer conference earlier this year and there has been nothing but rave reviews on the SX4. Suzukis on the whole are fantastic (have always thought that even before we started selling them). I jumped on the dealer portal and there have been no negatives with the SX4 but if you have any specifics 'spode I am happy to research them for you. I will give you honest answers. |
Early reliability stats would be cool.
