Virtual Christmas Caroling: A Cellar video collection

Turn on your camera and start singing. Get it up on Youtube before you chicken out. Post it. Do it now. Extra credit for wearing scarves, mittens hats, hoding candles, sipping hot chocolate. extra extra credit for standing outside in the cold while you film it.

CaliforniaMama 11-21-2006 12:33 AM

Does it count if I film my kids doing it?

fargon 11-21-2006 02:27 AM

we could do that on world wanking day, wada you think?

Elspode 11-21-2006 11:25 AM

Can I film my whole band doing it?

Elspode 11-21-2006 11:52 AM

Boy, you can sure tell when people have been married for awhile. LJ's gonna get his hot wife drunk, then make her *sing*. :headshake

lumberjim 11-26-2006 01:52 AM

this is my all time favorite christmas song. done in homage to the King. i only regret that i had no one to do the ah ohh ohhohh ohh part on the beginning

Blue Christmas ala lumberelvis:

Clodfobble 11-26-2006 08:59 AM

Very nice! You sound just like the King.

footfootfoot 11-26-2006 09:37 AM

I like the flashes of light, is that the papparazzi?

Nice one.

lumberjim 11-26-2006 10:17 AM

its an effect from the editing software called 'old film'. it has a little line that shoots thru it and graininess too, but its hard to see that in that small a window.

Sundae 12-05-2006 12:06 PM

I got tired of trying to make a cool video (I did try, honest - I may submit my failures as a blooper reel some day) and sang straight to camera.

Adeste Fideles was always one of my favourites when I was in the choir, and the penultimate verse is the one which has stuck in my head because that's where the sopranos sing the descant and we practiced it over and over and over.

I can't sing soprano, so have just bellowed the alto part at you in a foghorn manner.

Sundae--you've a truly lovely voice and you are the cutest! So sweet!

Lj--wow. You are awesome! Great singing! Fabulous song!

Nah - it's just business as usual; Bruce is such a smooth operator and all the ladies have a crush on him.

xoxoxoBruce 12-08-2006 10:57 AM

Why I have a note right here on my desk....lets see now...

I love you.
I love only you.
I've never loved any one but you.
I could never love anyone but you.

See that..... and it's addressed to.....

To Whom It May Concern

;)

this is sundae girl and i doing The Christmas Song for you dwellars. She was very nice, and agreed to do the song for me, as though i was there next to her. she spent a lot of time doing it, and multiple takes, and deserves big props.

here is the link to the youtube page. if you hit the little button on the bottom right of the viewscreen, you can maximize that window to full screen, and video your self singing along with us. like the RFN thread we did.

cmon. do it.

Clodfobble 12-15-2006 11:01 AM

AWESOME.

SO TOTALLY AWESOME.

Undertoad 12-15-2006 11:08 AM

Shawnee123 12-15-2006 11:08 AM

I agree...awesome!

lumberjim 12-15-2006 12:13 PM

bumped so you'd notice the edit. I didn;t have time to add commentary when i posted it this morning. i was late to get to work, but i wanted to make sure i got it up there for SG to see before she went home for the day.

When I finally worked out how to get the right camera angle and remembered all the words it was the work of moments. Of course it is LJ who deserves any praise because it was his really cool idea which has kept me grinning secretly all week.

Please do join in - even if you are just playing a tambourine, or hitting your head to the beat with a rubber chicken.

footfootfoot 12-15-2006 12:20 PM

You guys are great! I want to get a video thingy.

Trilby 12-15-2006 12:27 PM

The best Christmas present yet!

You two sound great--that was so sweet of you two to post/give!

Thank you! :santa:

lumberjim 12-15-2006 01:15 PM

here's SG ala carte, if you prefer to have a duet.

glatt 12-15-2006 02:42 PM

Excellent! :)

chrisinhouston 12-15-2006 04:30 PM

Wow, that was good, great harmony and tempo! Did you have any help? Like a glass of wine before performing? I don't know if I could get up the nerve.

lumberjim 12-15-2006 04:43 PM

just a wee dram of seagrams 7 and ginger ale. not the usual flagon of capn n coke. that is the 5th or 6th i shot all in a row......had to get timing down and decide to sing real low or high......i look like a fag when i sing high....so, i went low. it really is fun to do. i hope someone else will play along with this.
