Hello 227 guests. :D

Sundae 06-17-2006 05:55 PM

I don't get it. Do I deserve to be alone?

Kagen4o4 06-17-2006 07:44 PM

well, yeah.

lumberpoet 06-17-2006 08:35 PM

Evening sun shining through a window of an unoccupied corridor shimmers on shiny plaster walls. It's cold. A thin child with stringy blonde hair sits upon the window sill and stares blankly out the foggy window at the three telephone lines that cross her vision. At the bricks behind it, in the distance. This is the World.

Ibby 06-17-2006 09:22 PM

Yawn. I know fifteen kids my age who write that in their sleep. You can do better.

bluecuracao 06-17-2006 09:26 PM

"I just vant to be alone."

Griff 06-18-2006 07:02 AM

I'm alone with 274 nameless faceless... sorry now I've freaked myself out, gotta go!

ooh. somebody's bitter. sorry, man. i didn't mean to hurt your feelings. i was just pointing out that a song without music is a bad poem.

AlternateGray 06-22-2006 02:54 PM

1 member... 1 guest. Coincidence? I think not. I'm being stalked...

In all the oh two months I've been here, I've never been alone... Well, if you consider 279 guests around alone...

Trilby 07-14-2006 09:34 AM

I am sooooo alone.

I am lonely.

Spexxvet 07-14-2006 09:46 AM

Don't be lonely. Call your geek, or ask the woman next door for the video tape so you can be with yourself (on TV anyway).

I want to be alone more. The only time I'm alone is in my car to and from work.

KinkyVixen 07-14-2006 06:06 PM

Is that the grass is always greener syndrome? Don't get me wrong, I like my alone time and I need it at times so that I can re-group and regain my senses but I definitely don't wanna be alone the rest of my life. When I feel like all is lost and I'm alone (emotionally, physically, spritually)...it's usually not a good thing, and I usually end up getting myself in trouble.

Buddug 07-17-2006 02:54 PM

Oh no !

Does being in front of the computer count as being alone ?

I worry about this because I drink loads of wine in front of the computer and I was brought up to believe that drinking alone is REALLY BAD .

xoxoxoBruce 07-18-2006 04:20 AM

No, you are not alone.

If you enjoy drinking why is it necessary to drink with others?

This may explain the dual personalitites noted on other threads...

Buddug 07-18-2006 12:36 PM

Indeed . A disappointing Chateau d'Yquem does tend to put one in a bad mood .
Do forgive me .

Undertoad 07-18-2006 01:45 PM

I would love to be disappointed by a Ch d'Yquem. I've not had even a bad one yet. I've had other Sauternes.

Um, I guess this wine is an aquired taste:D

Undertoad 07-18-2006 03:24 PM

Oh, he's talking about the 1784 vintage there!

Tin Man 07-21-2006 07:37 AM

I find that when I'm feeling lonely it's usually because I'm not happy with who/what/where I am. Now that, is kinda sad and pathetic, harsh but true. But being 'alone', THAT is liberating. Be in the crowd but not of it, otherwise you'll always be a victim of your own illusions or the crowds.

BTW Ibram, you didn't come across as bitter, just arrogant and pompous. You need to develop your wordcraft so people can perceive the humour you implied was there.

Pi 02-18-2007 03:42 AM

Hello?!?Is tis thing on?

DucksNuts 02-18-2007 04:15 AM

Nope..move along

Urbane Guerrilla 02-20-2007 03:56 AM

In solitude, there are good things to do

(besides enjoying the postmasturbatory glow)

If I haven't walked up to somewhere high,
Filling not only my eyes but my lungs and breath too
With the view from up there,
There is always meditation,
And you don't have to be up there for it:

A pond
In the middle of a forest
With no ripples

cowhead 02-21-2007 10:49 AM

I thought most Hiakus went 5/7/5?

alone is what you make of it.

Elspode 02-21-2007 11:54 AM

That was Lowku.

Kingswood 02-21-2007 09:29 PM

I'm alone today because I have this cold that I don't want to spread. I like sharing with other people, but not this Dreaded Lurgy.

Thank goodness this cough medicine is working, my cough was sounding too much like a seal and it hurt too much.

Yay for chicken soup and orange juice.

Urbane Guerrilla 02-22-2007 04:33 AM

Maybe I'll cast it into a haiku some time, but it's really more of an informal mantra I learned in karate class.

"Verse don't come no blanker than what I just blunk at 'em." -- Churchy LaFemme

And blank verse was all I went for here.

Sundae 03-29-2007 05:15 AM

Hello guests.

Wow - I finally have the place to myself!
Hmf. Not as much fun as I thought it would be.

Going to go & jump on the beds.

DanaC 03-29-2007 10:39 AM

What's the deal with 'Tinman'? did I miss something? can't click his name and under posts it says n/a.

elSicomoro 03-29-2007 10:42 AM

"But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man that he didn't, didn't already have..."

I enjoy being alone...I'm fortunate to get a lot of Sycamore time. But I rarely feel lonely...friends and family are not so far away, physically and mentally.

Clodfobble 03-29-2007 10:52 AM

I think Tin Man (as opposed to TinMan, a different user) was a spammer whose account was deleted (as opposed to banned), but his non-spam posts were left.
