Taking a Break

I'll probably have to be largely absent from this vicinity for awhile. Fest time has come and it is particularly difficult this year as we have a large shortfall in registrations, resulting in a fiscal crisis for my organization. As such, I'm going to have to pay a lot of attention to what I'm doing.

Work, family and automotive issues aren't helping a bit, either, but then I guess its stuff like this that reminds us we are alive, huh?

Anyway, I'm sure I'll check in from time to time, but I'll largely be a lurker. See you all on a more regular basis in June or July, most likely.

plthijinx 05-02-2006 09:43 AM

have fun and keep the wings level!

WabUfvot5 05-02-2006 02:12 PM

Hope it all works out for you Elspode. I think I might take a break too. Sounds like a good idea for everybody at the cellar.

funkykule 05-02-2006 02:22 PM

everyone is leaving :sniff: bye..we will miss you!

thrillhouse 05-02-2006 02:37 PM

i'm not leaving. . . i just got here. :jig:

Trilby 05-02-2006 03:05 PM

I'm not leaving either. I plan on waiting until every respectable member is gone and THEN I'll make my move! HAHAHA!*

*supposed to be sinister laugh.

xoxoxoBruce 05-02-2006 05:57 PM

I think the respectable members have left. ;)

Kagen4o4 05-02-2006 06:02 PM

to get across the sinister laugh, adding a "mu" to the front generally works. as i will now deminstrate.

MUHAHAHA

thrillhouse 05-02-2006 06:17 PM

buwaahhhahahahahah

*this works also* http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dgrl/wink3.gif

Happy Monkey 05-02-2006 06:37 PM

I dunno. I think the "bu" prefix implies an involuntary burst of laughter that might cause a beverage to exit nasally, while "mu" clearly denotes "mine is an evil laugh".

clearly. . . .. yours is the more evil laugh. :D

Cyclefrance 05-02-2006 06:46 PM

Should I put the kettle on Patrick, or is this a domestic States-side thing?

I'll be around for a while - no travels until the Somme at the end of June, and then that's only for 5 days! - and I can't even take a break to write a story as they only seem to get written here!

lookout123 05-02-2006 10:03 PM

take care 'spode - hurry back and let us know how you are.

xoxoxoBruce 05-03-2006 09:57 PM

Don't worry, he'll be back. :D

Elspode 05-04-2006 12:35 PM

I'm not actually *going* anywhere until the 19th, and I'll still check in whem I'm working on the 22nd and 23rd. I'll be offline entirely after that for about eight days. No Internet at Pagan camp, you see.

I just tend to get real busy around this time of year, both at work and with the Festival, and I didn't want to be considered a missing person. I'm too much of an addict even when busy to be completely gone.

Kagen4o4 05-04-2006 06:17 PM

will you fuck off already!

;)

JayMcGee 05-04-2006 06:31 PM

Kagen4o4 05-04-2006 07:21 PM

its like having a funeral before you die

Elspode 05-04-2006 11:46 PM

You'll note that I did say "largely absent". I'll post less and less for the next couple of weeks, I promise.

Now that you mention it, it probably wasn't worth my mentioning it...

Kagen4o4 05-04-2006 11:51 PM

awwww we'll all miss ya El Splodeo.

skysidhe 05-04-2006 11:53 PM

You absense will be large. People like you are whom this place revolves. It will leave a huge black star like hole. Ok maybe that's a little dramatic.

How about It's like leaving chimps alone in a room with a mirror?

DucksNuts 05-05-2006 04:28 AM

At least "I" (yes, me, me meeee!!) was genuine. :p
