LOST

Anyone watching this show? Anyone have any theories as to what's going on? Who's your favorite character?

I think it was great during the first season. Now there's too much character development and not enough unraveling of the mystery.

Hurley's probably my favorite character. But then again Kate and Claire are great and better to look at.

I have my theories as to what's going on. I'll tell you it's not "all a dream" and they're not all in purgatory.

I'll talk more if anyone's watching. :hide:

The week before last was good. I like the mystery, suspense filled episodes. Last week was a snoozer to me. When I hear that sound they play as they go into a persons past, I sigh and look at the clock wondering...."how much time are they going to eat up this time?"

My daughter received her "Entertainment Weekly" and it has a photo of the map that was on the hatch door that fell on Locke. Have you seen a photo yet? Or have you hit the pause on Tivo or any number of devices available these days?

I have not studied it, but it is all the hatches on the island and notes about each one.

Kagen4o4 04-08-2006 04:01 PM

its not all in hurleys head. they have the rest of the characters backgrounds that have nothing to do with hurley.

i like it and will watch it to the end. i download it every week as soon as it comes out.

SteveBsjb 04-09-2006 09:36 AM

Yeah, no way it's all in someone's head. I think they made that episode because so many fans are guessing "it's all a dream" or something lame like that. The writers of the show are trying to say "we know that's what you think, but c'mon we're not that lame."

Cheyenne 04-09-2006 10:49 AM

The dream theory reminds me of the Bob Newhart series finale when he awoke in bed with Suzanne Pleshette and it had all been a dream. Classic!

Happy Monkey 04-09-2006 10:05 PM

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" had an episode like that, too, where Buffy "woke up" in an asylum. That was left up in the air as well.

SteveBsjb 04-10-2006 10:14 AM

I miss Buffy. That was a great show.

I haven't missed an episode of LOST. I heard an interview with JJ Abrams and he said they don't even know all the answers yet. They're making it up as they go. True or not, I'm afraid they will build it up so big that the pay off will suck.

SteveBsjb 04-11-2006 01:48 PM

Same here.

Happy Monkey 04-11-2006 02:19 PM

I guess we'll get a preview of Abrams' payoff skills on the Alias finale. That's another show with all sorts of cool mysteries, but infrequent and vaguely disappointing payoffs.

SteveBsjb 04-11-2006 05:31 PM

Loved Alias. This current season was horrible from episode 1 though.

SteveBsjb 04-26-2006 08:16 PM

New lost tonight? Hoping for a good one!

Happy Monkey 04-26-2006 08:29 PM

Nope.

Cheyenne 04-26-2006 10:05 PM

'tis a rerun :(

Kagen4o4 04-26-2006 10:25 PM

new lost comes out 4th may. episode 20 season 2

Ibby 04-27-2006 06:33 AM

Lost is a horrible, horrible show.

And I am horribly, horribly addicted to it... I dunno if I can wait till may fourth...

SteveBsjb 04-27-2006 07:24 AM

It wasn't really a rerun, it was a review. I think they highlight and show you stuff that will help you with the mystery. You guys should check the Lost message board, they're nuts over there!

Stormieweather 04-27-2006 09:32 AM

When the HELL are they going to actually broadcast a new episode? I'm good and sick and tired of reruns and reviews.

There is your answer. ;)

Happy Monkey 04-27-2006 10:26 AM

Though I expect it's actually May 3.

Ibby 04-27-2006 11:59 AM

Hm, Saturday morning at like 5:30 I'm going to Khao Lak, Thailand, to help tsunami victims in the area. School field trip. I'll be gone a little over a week, so I guess I'm not gonna be able to download 20 till I get back. Which also means I wont post for about a week, starting saturday (friday night, in the states).So... yeah.

Kagen4o4 04-27-2006 07:26 PM

well as aus is a day ahead of you, our may 4th is usa's may 3rd

Happy Monkey 04-27-2006 07:28 PM

Do they actually simulcast it?

Kagen4o4 04-27-2006 10:38 PM

i download it. so as soon as it comes on the net in the states its on the net in aus

spooke 04-27-2006 11:46 PM

Hey Kagen, where do you download the episodes from? I missed last night's on 7 and need to catch up.

Kagen4o4 04-27-2006 11:56 PM

i use bit torrent. get the program azureus and go to mininova. search for lost and you'll find them all.
if you dont know how bit torrent works, all you need to do is install azureus, find what you want to download on a torrent site like mininova, then instead of saving the file, choose "open". it will start downloading it using azureus. however, bit torrent does require that you upload as well as download

spooke 04-28-2006 12:03 AM

Fantastic, cheers mate.

Happy Monkey 04-28-2006 01:00 AM

Is iTunes available down under?

Kagen4o4 04-28-2006 01:35 AM

yes

fuck apple

Brett's Honey 04-28-2006 01:44 AM

Here's where I go to catch up on LOST.

http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/

You don't miss a single detail and the writers have a great sense of humor.

SteveBsjb 04-28-2006 11:42 AM

Bit Torrents do rule though. That's how i caught up on some of the LOST eps.

Happy Monkey 04-28-2006 01:19 PM

A lot of BBC web stuff is only available to Brits (though obviously there's no way to enforce it all that strictly). I just wondered whether some copyright issue caused iTunes to try to restrict stuff to the USA. I've bittorented stuff when it's not available, but I like to support it when they make things available over the web legally.

SteveBsjb 05-04-2006 05:59 AM

What a surprise, Michael can't be trusted.

I don't think Libby's dead. I think fake-Henry and Libby will both be gone. I think Michael is waiting for Walt to show up, now that he's done the Other's bidding.

glatt 05-04-2006 07:29 AM

Weird how it was the the two actresses with DUI's who got axed.

SteveBsjb 05-04-2006 07:32 AM

And they're both lesbians.

Happy Monkey 05-04-2006 08:48 AM

Man, it was a bloodbath on ABC last night. The mugshot girls on LOST and Sydney's sister and the thief-ally on Alias.

Kagen4o4 05-04-2006 08:56 AM

stoopid michael, you aint getting walt back for that.

SteveBsjb 05-04-2006 09:08 AM

Alias: The characters die and come back to life and die again more than any other show. CRAZY! Did they have to kill Sydney's sister?

So many cute chicks got killed on NBC, JJ Abrams must be in a fight with his wife or something.

Kagen4o4 05-04-2006 06:21 PM

oh i hate michael, he shot the only chicks on the island i though were hot. im catching a flight to LA tomorrow to kill him
im on oceanic flight 815 if someone that lives there wants to pick me up from the airport. leaves Melbourne at 7:30am with a brief stop in Sydney
