Beautiful Custom-Built 2009 Wooden Car.
This custom wooden car rides on a 1986 Toyota truck frame and gets power
from a Chrysler 318 engine. It is driven by an automatic transmission and has
merely 1,800 miles on its speedometer. The whole body is made of cedar and
its interior is just as over-the-top as the exterior.

Very well built, nice craftsmanship. That would be very cool if it wasn't so fugly.

glatt 02-15-2012 07:25 AM

I'm afraid I have to agree. With boat building methods, you can get beautiful curves out of wood, so there's no reason it can't have nice swooping curves.

infinite monkey 02-15-2012 07:35 AM

I like it.

Except for the license plate. Doesn't NC have anything else to hang their hat on? First in Flight? Yeah, thanks to Dayton OH. ;)

dacliff 02-15-2012 07:38 AM

Hmmm...looks like it might be heavy.

"I got a '30 Ford wagon and we called it a woody..."

[picky]has merely 1,800 miles on its odometer [picky]

I'd drive it, wooden you?

It's not an odometer, it's a dolphin.

bbuilder 02-15-2012 08:26 AM

The cannibals would like to add carrots, potatoes, and a match at 55mph for 1 hour. Preferrably drive in a small circle so dinner is easier to find.

Actually, I think it's a 2 cedar.

HungLikeJesus 02-15-2012 11:26 AM

I had to say that out loud before I got it.

infinite monkey 02-15-2012 11:37 AM

"That out loud."

I don't get it.

Sundae 02-15-2012 01:42 PM

Two seater :)

Liked the Mothra ref though.

infinite monkey 02-15-2012 01:48 PM

I knew dat. ;)

Sundae 02-15-2012 01:59 PM

Soz.
I forget where I am sometimes.
The Cellar is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart, not the lolkthxbai place.

infinite monkey 02-15-2012 02:04 PM

I thought the goat-footed balloonman keeps the stars apart. Oh wait, no, he whistles far and wees a lot.

Sundae 02-15-2012 02:11 PM

Just don't blame me if you keep plums in your icebox.
That's just asking for trouble.
I know. WCW not EEC

infinite monkey 02-15-2012 02:16 PM

I keep my plums in the christmas pie, removing them with my thumb.

Doesn't everybody? Good people do.

Gravdigr 02-15-2012 02:54 PM

I keep my plums in my drawers.

Most of the time, sometimes I take 'em out...

Pete Zicato 02-15-2012 08:21 PM

But I bet it smells nice inside.

Grav's drawers, or the car?

BigV 02-15-2012 11:24 PM

unlikely. looks like it's well sealed as it should be out in the weather. not like the inside of your mother's aromatic cedar hope chest

Sundae 02-16-2012 04:19 AM

Grav's drawers, or the car?

BigV 02-16-2012 10:05 AM

a distinction without a difference.

Gravdigr 02-16-2012 03:10 PM
