Myspace

yes ok i have a myspace...2 actually. one for friends and one to try and get as many people as my friend as possible.

www.myspace.com/kagen4o4

www.myspace.com/garrehdab

anyone else have a myspace that they are willing to share?

Perry Winkle 02-23-2007 08:11 PM

I'm not gay. Sorry.

(where gay == lame, not that I'm calling anyone lame. I would just feel lame having a myspace page.)

Kagen4o4 02-23-2007 08:36 PM

well i orignally started out making it as emo as possible as a joke. but now ive made it a bit more my own style.

i do not blog. i will not post an online diary of my life that no one gives a shit about.

i post pictures of myself and with friends. and anything else that would actually be interesting to others, not just myself.

oh and screw you grant.

Anytime you like, sugar-pants.

But truly, I'm only kidding about the Myspace-cocksucking implication. It's my standard response when someone mentions Myspace.

I will admit to using Facebook, but that's only because it used to be exclusively college folk and people can't gay-up their page like they can on Myspace.

Kagen4o4 02-23-2007 09:09 PM

lol i too use facebook, mainly because its so much easier to put many photos on the net quickly

"Myspace-cocksucking implication." nicccce. some words just sound right together.

cowhead 02-23-2007 09:20 PM

so do I.. nothing wrong with it.. handy way to keep track of people.. look me up under 'simple kansas farmboy'

Kagen4o4 02-23-2007 09:25 PM

errrrr theres 68 people that describe themselves that way

piercehawkeye45 02-24-2007 12:35 AM

I have facebook but I will usually only go on when I recieve an email telling me of something.

I technically have a myspace but I haven't used it since.......I made it.

elSicomoro 02-24-2007 06:02 PM

I stayed away from MySpace for a long time. Then a friend of mine convinced April and I to take the plunge. So we did. And I've found so many friends that I haven't talked to in ages, and vice versa. One of the best things I've ever done. A link to my mySpace page is listed below.

Clodfobble 02-24-2007 09:39 PM

Same here. A friend nagged and nagged and nagged me until I finally put up a bare-bones page just to make her leave me alone. I made it private, kept my last name and basically all other identifying information off it it except for one photo... and within three weeks, someone I hadn't talked to since elementary school found me. It's kind of scary.

xoxoxoBruce 02-24-2007 09:45 PM

I'd rather not be found. ;)

Kagen4o4 02-24-2007 10:23 PM

i added you sycamore, you have mr bungle as your song. niccce

elSicomoro 02-24-2007 10:26 PM

Cool!

That's one of my favorite parts of MySpace...deciding on a song. Sometimes, I like to throw curveballs. Here's what I've had recently:

1/20-1/21: Godflesh, “Slavestate”
1/21-1/23: Celine Dion, “Because You Loved Me”
1/23-1/24: Paris Hilton, “Stars Are Blind”
1/24-1/26: Rammstein, “Te Quiero Puta”
1/26-1/27: Suicidal Tendencies, “You Can’t Bring Me Down”
1/27-1/30: Pantera, “Mouth for War”
1/30-2/1: Daft Punk, “Human After All”
2/1-2/3: King’s X, “It’s Love”
2/3-2/4: K-os, “Sunday Morning”
2/4-2/7: Stevie Wonder, “For Once in My Life”
2/7-2/8: Mudhoney, “Touch Me I’m Sick”
2/8-2/14: Marvin Gaye, “Let’s Get It On”
2/14-2/22: Al Green, “Let’s Stay Together”
2/22-2/24: The Urge, “All Washed Up”
2/24-: Mr. Bungle, “The Secret Song”

Kagen4o4 02-24-2007 11:37 PM

hahaha, my song before the one i have now was "step by step" by new kids on the block

Perry Winkle 02-25-2007 02:25 PM

The mainstream has corrupted me...I've broken down and gotten a myspace page. But that doesn't mean I'll be participating in the gay orgies, so keep your cock away from my mouth!

http://www.myspace.com/granthatesmyspace

Elspode 02-25-2007 05:27 PM

Selene was getting lots of interest from guys by setting up a MySpace 'swinger' profile. She thought I should do the same.

She's very naieve girl sometimes, thinking that it worked the same way for men that it does for women. Sigh.

Anyway, here is my completely nonghey Myspace page...

xoxoxoBruce 02-26-2007 05:41 AM

Elspode, as long as you're there, check out a friend of mine.

Okay okay, Grant...maybe a little slap-and-tickle, though?

Here is my myspace profile. I havn't gone there much in the last year. My favorite stalkers kept the internet from being much. If you've ever experienced stalking they go from one site to another so I try to keep off sites if it happens.

If you are nice person and I know you and you want to add me you can. These days mostly add just musicians.

One day Robby and I met Jasmine Ash. She is the nicest person you could every meet and she has the sweetest voice to match.

Perry Winkle 02-26-2007 05:57 PM

Um, just to clarify, I'm not a homophobe, really. I make fun of every other group just as much, even the ones I belong to.

Sorry, Sheldon...no offense intended.

xoxoxoBruce 02-26-2007 06:07 PM

Don't worry, one thing I'm sure about Sheldon, is he does have a sense of humor. :thumb2:

What do you think are the best sites about/for young disabled folks. I'm majoring as an Intervention Specialist (new fancy term for special education) and want to start compiling a list of resources for papers and my future student teaching.

Sundae 02-27-2007 11:26 AM

For some reason all of your pages come up in German.
Which means I can read what you have written (obviously in English) but can't work out how to look for other people.

Of course I don't need other people now I know you... but it would be nice.

Totally non-homphobic here. I thought that spelliing it "ghey" changed the intended meaning, such as "flamboyance without good reason", rather than any reference to sexual preference.

If offense was taken, I apologize most profusely.

Perry Winkle 03-01-2007 06:29 PM

Does myspace just really not work for anyone else?

I get errors quite often, and random redirects to the main page when I click on a different part of the site (e.g. "manage blog").

Not surprising considering the volume of traffic and platform the site runs on.

elSicomoro 03-01-2007 10:13 PM

I just chalk it up to growing pains and keep trying to do what I want to do.

I used to get these until I realized what it was really doing was asking me to log in (the login box is on the right hand side of the main page.) It's stupid about remembering whether you're logged in or not.

Elspode 03-02-2007 08:09 PM

I get a lot of error messages along the lines of "sorry, we're fucked up, but we'll let someone know you're having a problem" (vast paraphrase, that).

It isn't exactly a screaming performance example.

Yeah, I get it to login sometimes, which makes sense. The problem is I do it does it a lot when it already has me logged in...it doesn't even show the box to login...

Sun_Sparkz 04-26-2007 05:54 AM

i use it a fair bit now to stay in contact with friends back in my hometown.

I STILL don't have a myspace...

and my computer thinks myspace.com's IP addy is 127.0.0.1!

Muhahahahaha. Stupid MySpace.

duck_duck 04-27-2007 07:51 PM

I don't have a myspace account but couldn't get one even if I wanted to.

SadistSecret 04-27-2007 10:46 PM

Why not?

Because my uncle doesn't want me to. I guess myspace has too much of a bad reputation for his liking.

does kagen realise HOW long his myspace takes to open????

my computer is crying now, nice one

kerosene 04-29-2007 01:29 PM

Okay, I have just added everyone that has a myspace in this thread...except for skysidhe, because it wouldn't let me. I put in my email as it asked, and it wouldn't accept!

If anyone gets a request from Aqua Matter, that's me.

Syc, what was yours again?

piercehawkeye45 04-30-2007 12:11 AM

Duck_duck, myspace's can be helpful for many things and don't have to be bad. While I personally don't like myspace, it is not like what its stereotyped as.

SadistSecret 04-30-2007 10:10 AM

I got sick of myspace when everyone else kept vegetating in front of it.

TheMercenary 05-02-2007 12:02 AM

Amazing what you can find out about people on MySpace. Interesting bunch. Extended networks are always fun to explore as well...

Hime 05-02-2007 10:25 AM

If anyone's curious, mine is myspace.com/persephonebellydance.

There's a lot of static, but it's pretty good for keeping in touch with old friends and making new connections.

kerosene 05-03-2007 07:21 PM

Thanks, cowhead. Been very focused, lately. I have 6 more paintings in the works right now. I'm gonna do it!

Telefunken 07-02-2007 02:30 AM

I just deleted my MySpace profile thanks to all spam from the web cam hoes. MySpace reminds me of AOL during the mid-90's.

I never ever hardly go on there. Maybe three or four times a year.

rkzenrage 07-02-2007 12:47 PM

Having been in the industry I was in, my friends are all over the nation. That and my interest in politics makes MS really helpful.
But, you do have to weed-through a lot of BS.

Ah, I understand. I haven't used it as much lately, either.

Drax 07-02-2007 03:17 PM

I must confess, I signed up for MySpace twice within one month, but quickly closed both accounts due to privacy concerns.
