new...was here all day nearly

I came here by accident, and am enthralled. Posters here have an astonishing depth... might have to take off my shoes and stay a while.

The posters here do have an astonishing amount of depth, don't they?

F'rinstance, I think Dave hung the one of Elvis over there in the corner next to the Mark IV Troll Detector&trade;.

Yes, the velvet is nice, isn't it? And if you flip on the black light, you can see the glow-in-the-dark tears that make the King look like he's crying.

Dammit HB, that's not what he was talking about and you know it. "Posters with astonishing depth" is obviously referring to one of those magic-eye 3D posters of a sailboat.

Hmmm... I wonder if anyone has tried a <B>3D magic-eye velvet crying Elvis poster</B>?? Now <I>that</I> would be the shiznat!

elSicomoro 07-16-2003 12:54 PM

"Wow! It's a schooner!"

"Hahahaha!!! You dumb bastard! It's not a schooner! It's a sailboat!"

"A schooner is a sailboat, stupid head."

"You know what?! There is no easter bunny!!! Over there, that's just a guy in a suit!!!"

(Listen here)

Mallrats was so under-rated.

Some people have astonishing depth, and then again, some are amazingly shallow.

I have asked you guys repeatedly not to talk about me behind my back...it hurts my feelings and makes me wish I could afford firearms.

Welcome, Mr. Roth, to the Cellar, where even the sarcasm has an amazing amount of depth.:3eye:

*blinks winsomely and puts on an innocent, yet injured expression*

Why Elspode, I didn't mention names...

Hi Mike, and welcome to the asylum. You might have noticed it doesn't take much to stir the inmates to babbling. Hopefully Dr Wolf will be along with the meds soon.:D

OnyxCougar 07-16-2003 05:56 PM

Inmates?? I can leave anyold time I want... Yeah... If I wasn't addicted....

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...."

The illusion of depth, the third dimension, is created by the skilled use of one or multiple vanishing points.
Sure, drugs help too. Its true, the black light is always a thoughtful addition... or that polarization trick with the squarish cardboard glasses...or viewmasters. Gotta love viewmasters.

It's a good thing it isn't addictive, 'cause I couldn't live without it.;)

No deep ocean can exist without the contribution of so many, liitle, shallow streams.

(Will there be a poll for who is shallow and who has gone off the deep end?)

elSicomoro 07-16-2003 06:32 PM

Good question...but let me ask this: What's it like to be off the deep end, like yourself? :)

Uryoces 07-16-2003 09:39 PM

No, no, no ... You can leave any time you want. You just have to get thrown in jail for smuggling hashish , get thrown in the unit for the criminally insane, stop taking meds, bribe the head prison guard, smash his head in, and escape across the Greco-Turkish border.

Simple, see?! :p

All of this must, of course, be accompanied by a bitchin' Georgio Moroder sequenced synth theme...
