check out the car anti theft devices in the archives.. pure brilliance.
Some parts probably not safe for work. Much blood and violence, an all around good time i'd say.

That was either mean...or cute. I'm not quite sure which, yet.

Historic Cities - Maps & Documents

High res images of old maps. And stuff. Well, *I* think it's cool, anyways.

I especially like this one of Paris.

I think just putting up a page that said "you misspelled it!" would be kind of snarky. But putting up a dynamically updated graph of the number of hits was funny.

Draw!

This is kind of neat. It would be cool to get more colours in there, but I got some cool little scribbles out of it.

That is pretty cool.

Some nice pics of crashed ships, planes rolled into drains by maintenance crews and container mishaps.

I was absolutely mesmerised by this story. Kind of reminds of the vignettes aired on This American Life, though I'm pretty sure that "Craziest" is a work of fiction.

Thanks LabRat. There's a station less than a half mile downstream from my house. It shows that Tuesday night the creek jumped from 3 ft depth and 50 cubic ft/sec to over 16 feet and 10,000 ft/sec. So that's why the road was closed Wed morning. :eek6:
