A buffoon dissing a fairly untalented but well marketed kid. This is what we've come to, entertainment-wise? ;) Pretty sad, imho.

That guy (I won't say his name, 'cause that's what he wants) IS a buffoon. But, to say that Miss Swift is "fairly untalented" is not quite fair. It's not my kind of music, but, damn, she's only nineteen, and she's been around for a few years already. :)

meh, I heard her live on a morning show. She couldn't hit a note if her life depended on it. She was, however, great at looking cute and flipping her hair around...which is my major problem with the music industry and country music in particular: all hats and fluff.

But, my younger brother says she writes her own stuff, and that I admire, so "fairly untalented" probably isn't fair. I retract. If she were ugly, though, would someone else be clamoring to cover her work?

As to longevity proving talent...how the hell long have the Stones been around? :rolleyes:
