SWMBO started freebasing them, they never made it three weeks.

...I wonder if they are still on sale...

Never having tasted the wonder that is known as Tastykake, I'll have to take your word for it. Until I do, Hostess will always me My Best Friend.
Gawd, I'm hungry.

Those would be the Butterscotch Krimpets.

I am from a Tasty family.

My uncle and my grandfather were both master-bakers at Tasty.

My greatest regret is when they switched the packaging over ... from the original folded waxed wrappers to the current heat sealed plastic. They don't taste the same, and the cakes themselves are smaller.

But I still love them Chocolate TandyTakes. :)

Dude! Is it the "Really Fresh Jerky" place in Olancha? Or Indian Jerky from the smoked meats place in Bishop? Both are very tasty! You've got to try Schwab's High Sierra Garlic Stuffed Olives too!!!

[url=http://www.bigjohnsbeefjerky.com/index.php]These guys are a couple hours drive away from me ... I've only ever dealt with them online, though. I'll be out in York later this summer, and may check them out in person, if I have time.

Yes! That's right! Butterscotch Krimpets. Yeah baby. And I remember the wax paper wrappers too, back when I was first introduced to them. I think it was during my time in Houston (that's where Little Debbie reared her ugly head as well). I can't seem to find them very easily her in AZ, but when I doo find them, I grab a box.

Hats off and a nod to your family for producing such a yummy treat.:notworthy

We have Mrs. Freshley's here... who the hell is she?

Lucy 07-29-2005 02:30 PM

Freshley? Never heard of her.
Probably a friend of the skank, Little Debbie.
I'd steer clear, if I were you.

melidasaur 07-29-2005 04:01 PM

In general, i don't like snack cakes very much... so I think I'll avoid them all - except for the occasional Little Debbie Peanut Butter Bar.

Currently addicted to East of Chicago's Taco Pizza.

Salsa, ground beef, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, black olives. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Plus, it gives ya heartburn. What's not to like? :)
