I know what Trump has done (at lest some of it) that needs undoing, which will be a long protracted struggle. How long will it take to stop drilling in the Grand Canyon? The goddamn Cuyahoga river caught fire again! That's how bad it's gotten.

Obama never once got my vote -- he desperately wanted socialism, the lesser way, lesser than capitalism, and could not get it -- did a lot for gun sales, too, notably rifles of 5.56mm bore and twenty or thirty rounds' magazine capacity. Semiautomatic, too.

What's the point? If my success is 5% or 95% luck so what? I have no control over that so I'm certainly not taking advantage of anyone, not cheating anyone. It's nothing to feel guilty about. Sometimes I come home from the casino with full pockets and sometimes with empty pockets.

I did hear an interview with her though and her thoughts would seem to give people wiggle room on the are you a racist question by casting ;) the whole thing as a caste system where folks are given expected roles which they can break out of if they happen to have the right talents. She was very thoughtful about what this means to a poor white. She mentioned that when MLK visited an untouchables school in India he was introduced as an American untouchable which apparently had quite an impact on him.

She wrote a well received book on the Great Migration a few years ago.
