Yet that is almost exactly what Travis picking is. Either way, Carter-style was guessed too late.

And ELSPODE! That's against the rules, you aren't s'posta look it up, thats the point!

Since that one's outta the bag I guess I'll ask another one. Stevie Ray Vaughan played guitar on that song, and Bowie recorded it cause Iggy was nearly starving cause he was so poor; Bowie recorded it again and sold a lot of copies, and Iggy got a share of it.

Name FIVE musicians who contributed to Warren Zevon's Warren Zevon

Holy cow. I just looked it up on allmusic.com. Yes, I know that disqualifies me.

However, I think the correct answer ought to be "just about everyone".

Ibby 06-26-2006 02:12 PM

's very true, I was going to say ten, but that's too many off the top of one's head.

Elspode 06-26-2006 04:34 PM

Linda Ronstadt, David Lindley, Lee Sklar, Jackson Browne and Russ Kunkel are my guesses. And no, I didn't look 'em up. Major Zevon fan, here. I'm not saying they're *correct*, I'm just sayin'.

Ibram: the reigning champion of music trivia.

Damn, Ibram you good.

Ibby 06-26-2006 10:37 PM

That's one, elspode... four of 'em arent right, sorry. Keep trying!

Elspode 06-26-2006 10:43 PM

Aw, crap. How about telling us which one is right?

Ibby 06-26-2006 11:10 PM

Jackson Browne played on Warren Zevon.

Griff 06-27-2006 06:50 AM

I think those artists were probably all on Excitable Boy, but that's not the album Ibram's asking about.

I am so far from being able to answer any of these questions that I'll just shut up now.

JayMcGee 06-27-2006 06:19 PM

the led zep thingie.... quote by one of the band at their fiirst gig after splitting from the yardbirds..''oh well, that went down like a lead zeppelin'

JayMcGee 06-27-2006 06:23 PM

.... and whats the connection between T-Tex and SofCell....

Ibby 06-27-2006 08:04 PM

Jay, you have to answer one right before you can ask one.

And you're wrong about zeppelin... It was actually Keith Moon who said it, before their first gig; "you'll fly like a lead zeppelin!"

EDIT: oh man, jinx, you're right, i missed that one... Okay, Elspode, that's TWO, my mistake

JayMcGee 06-27-2006 08:22 PM

I knew it was a drummer......

.....but I did think it was led zepp's drummer who said it.... oh well....

as for getting it right first..... not going to happen..... (all the ex-wives and the current wife are in agreement on that.....)
