To me, Peel- oww is the right pronuciation, but that's because I know the various Brit interpretations of the dish he is named after.

Dana and I say many words differently, let alone those of Indian origin, where she has far more expertise than me.

Actually, i pronounce 'Pilau' both ways depending on context. I think 'Pi llow' is a lazy northern pronunciation lol. Pee low is probably more 'correct'. I tend to use peelow when referring to the rice, and Pi llow when talking to Pil. But even then i jump between the two at times.


I know you're no dog person. But Pilau knows you still love him *grins* Stands to reason. He knows everyone loves him. On account of him being a Good Dog.

I would think Pee-low would be a girl dog's name ;)
