Nice.

Thanks!
It's a stitched panorama. Taken using a $3.00 app. The app does all the stitching!

I bet Les Stroud never built no bad-ass bamboo bunk beds, though.

Big Woody. Those are so NEAT. I like the second one especially .

A Barn Swallow is from sometime in May. There were two of them and they hung around for a couple of days. They were looking for a good nesting spot. They decided against the the porch light. Now,they are up under the eaves.

Today, a beautiful day for spying on the crows. I suppose. If you're a cat.

"Today is a beautiful day for spying on the crows
I suppose..."

is a good start to a poem!

It felt like the start of something 'prosey', when I was typing it too.

I was over in the Luce Center in the Smithsonian American Art Museum, going for a walk on my lunch hour and checking out the art in some nice air conditioning. Walking down the row of displays, I noticed one of those old cigarette vending machines. It was selling art. I simply couldn't resist.

I'm a notorious cheapskate, and this vending machine was asking $5 for a cigarette pack sized work of art. But I figured if I took pictures of the exchange, it would make it worth while.

So here it is, the Artomat.

It was obvious to me that you couldn't really be sure what you were getting. The machine is like one of those vending machines you remember from your childhood at the grocery store. You put your 25 cents in and hope to get the super ball in the egg and not the crappy smurf sticker.

Well, I figured that the selections that were almost out of stock were the most popular, and might therefore be the best. I looked at those few, and decided the one with the American flag peeking out looked kind of cool. I knew I didn't want the Dick Cheney portrait.

That is super cool. :D
