What would you do with a house that big?

I guess you need rooms for all the virgins.

Thanks grav :)

I have a Cannon powershot in about that price range. I haven't used it much. I'm not sure if I can eek out good photos like that even with tweaking. You might just be a natural.

My dad used to own a lake where we camped where the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds did their turnarounds for the Dayton Air Show. Once the Angels came over, almost snuck up behind up and we looked up and it almost seemed you could touch them. We were cheering and teary, grandparents, parents, us, kids...very cool stuff!

I grew up in southern Cal, so I remember going to a lot of air shows at Miramar, etc. Watching the Blue Angels, seeing Navy SEALs rope down from helicopters into the water, it was awesome to watch as a kid. Still is.

Gotta love that close-up of the GAU-8 muzzle.

Awesome pics, btw, Bullitt.

Roast 'em up. nom nom :D

Freaky looking things. I would get a kick out of shaking a tree branch with them in it. Watching dozens come shooting out.

But seriously, your tomato plants are already reaching to tops of their cages?!

I'm going to have to look into that hay bale thing next year.

Happy Monkey 05-23-2011 12:41 PM

Here are my pics from when they were in my (and glatt's) neck of the woods. With audio, for those who want to hear the 50's space flick soundtrack.

Not much of a picture, but here you can hear Earth's defence against the invaders from outer space: frogs, thousands of them.
(recorded about a month ago in a disused quarry in my area)

ETA: A better picture to go with it.

Caught this old Ford (1940?) at Wendy's the other afternoon. Pretty neat.

The other pic: Bravest Little Bluebird, Evah.

Probably not neat to anyone else.
But I was really intrigued by this pattern on the carpet the other day. And the sunshine on the Christmas Cactus.

I don't get out much, it's true.
