Spatchcocking still sounds a little dirty.

That's why I like it...:D

From my copyeditor (i.e., professional Grammar Nazi):

"The author’s attention to factual details like proper nouns, etc., was particularly exact, and left me with fewer changes and queries than I can remember having to make in a long time."

This is the kind of compliment I live for. :joylove:

Very nice!

If you do it all the time, and I'll bet you do, they'll come to expect it rather than appreciate it.
Be sure to throw in one editor cringing zinger.

I'm not sure Clod would risk that slipping through to print!

It occurs to me that the editor was probably annoyed because it looked to the boss like they had done nothing. So they needed to write something to explain the lack of their own work product.

Clodfobble 12-20-2019 08:44 AM

Heh... He did get me on a couple of factual errors--but at least two of them were taken directly from an American Heritage textbook! We're talking geographical place names, and family trees of famous politicians. Moral of the story, don't trust American Heritage books from the 60s.

And I just found an error that the copyeditor missed!

MWAHAHA I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

Still my hero.

I'm happy because my resignation was effective 12/20.

glatt 12-20-2019 04:41 PM

Congratulations!

Undertoad 12-20-2019 04:48 PM

Would that be 12/20/2020?

Congratulations!

Griff 12-20-2019 05:41 PM

Thanks fellas! 12/20/19 (merica style) to be clear.
