So you were using her as excuse, because you wanted to go play at De efteling. ;) That's a pretty scary looking dragon.

Shawnee123 07-25-2010 10:52 AM

Goodness that child is photogenic! I love the pic of her and daddy. :)

York 07-25-2010 12:11 PM

@Shawnee, hèhè.....thanks! :D
@Bruce, euh....kinda! I was never there when i was a child and was waiting for this moment! :p:

Pico and ME 07-25-2010 12:59 PM

Wow, that little girl has some legs on her! I predict either soccer or track in her future.

Shawnee123 07-25-2010 08:18 PM

Track, basktetball, and/or volleyball.

Sundae 07-26-2010 10:40 AM

Track and football, thank you ;)
More lovely pics, York. Makes me realise how much I am missing in the growing up of my friend's daughter...

Shawnee123 07-26-2010 10:48 AM

Nah, she'll be one of those tall long-legged volleball players who looks all sweet and beautiful then they go out and kick some ass. Or tennis, like Maria Sharapova.

V-ball players are often leggy. I thought soccer players were typically more low to the ground.

York 07-26-2010 10:53 AM

Maybe the picture has a strange angle on it.... Héhé, Basket or Volleybal , i dont think so! Im only 5"3 and mom is 5"4! :D
But she likes to play soccer and tennis!
Pico , one point! ;)

Sundae 07-26-2010 10:57 AM

Meh I just meant from a European POV.
Those are sports that really matter.
Although ice-sports might be appropriate to York....? It's more temperate here so I'm a bit ignorant about them.

But FTR, Peter Crouch (famous "soccer" player, believe me) is 6'7".
Which is why he has to go out with a model. Obviously.

Shawnee123 07-26-2010 11:43 AM

My five feet maybe 4 inches younger sis-in-law walked on court for a tryout at her Division 1 college volleyball team. She had thought she didn't want to play but went to a walk-on tryout anyway. Made the team hands down. (pun intended.) So size doesn't always matter. :)

York 07-26-2010 02:44 PM

@SG : oooohh that way! :D Ice sports? hhhmmm , she might eat it all! :D
Peter Crouch is a good forward! Back at Tottenham Hotspur now doing his "robot"! Messi and Maradona arent that tall either and are "great" ;)
@ Shawnee : i know for a long (or was it short?) time that it doenst mater! :D Well see what she likes most and than she can choose! ;) Like most at that age she likes so much now, tennis, soccer, cycling , being a ballerina, a veterinarian , an actress, a princess..... ;)

Pooka 07-26-2010 03:45 PM

Wow that place is soooo cool! And what a beautiful girl she is!!! Looks like you guys have lots of fun!

York 07-27-2010 10:41 AM

Yep, we try to have as much fun as we can! You'r only a child once (and in a rare occasion twice , like me at the parc! :D )
We definitly think about going again next year! :)

Hello Guys and girls! Whats up there on the other side of the world?
My "baby-girl" is getting big! She turned 5 yesterday and it was a lot of trouble to get everyone here! A lot of snow fell the last days so there's about 40cm here!
this was day one : http://oi51.tinypic.com/1z6zewn.jpg
I got in the hospital because of my diabetes and i had a really busy last months! I didnt take any pictures anymore, up till yesterday.
So here are some late, but still best wishes for X-mas!!

wolf 12-26-2010 12:49 PM

What a lovely young lady! (and a very patient old moggie you have there)

I admire your daughter's taste in plates.

skysidhe 12-26-2010 03:14 PM

nice!

York 12-27-2010 05:23 AM

Tnx Wolf! Kitty is popular here! ;) But whats a moggie?

Sundae 12-27-2010 08:28 AM

A moggie is a a cat - usually a non-breed cat (like saying mongrel for a dog) but sometimes just a familiar term.

Aw she is beautiful as ever.
I must ask my friend for more pics of his daughter - she will be as grown up as yours my now. Blimey.

Sorry to hear about your diabetes, hope all is now well. Scary.

And 40cm of snow!
WOW! We had a quarter of that and really suffered. I'm happy to say it's melting nicely, as I'm making my epic trip to Scotland the week after next.

York 12-28-2010 02:31 AM

Hey Sundae and tnx for the mog-info! :p:
All is much better now tnx! I have it for 25years now but i still get an occasionaly bad hypo! (low sugar!)
Over here the snow is all staying! :D Its been here for more than a week and we had 2 days with a +1° , the rest of the days it's frreeeezing!!
Tess is sick , she has a sour throat and fever! Hope she'll be fine by the end of the week! Luckely its during my week a holiday! :(
Have a great end of the old year and a wonderful beginning of the new one! Later! ;)

xoxoxoBruce 12-29-2010 11:05 AM

Hi York, good to hear from you! your pictures are always a welcome respite from the every day grind.

Proud Papa has done everything he could to make his baby girl happy, right? Well don't forget the most important thing you can do is make sure you're around, so take care of yourself. ;)

Wonderful pics York. Hope you are feeling better. I just recently reviewed this entire thread. Being able to watch her grow from birth to now has been most excellent!
Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

York 01-02-2011 12:56 PM

Classicman Tnx, i am feeling better but diabetes is depending on many things... If i work too hard it gets too low! :D

Tulip 01-24-2011 10:37 PM

Yep she is, but she still is the smallest of her class! ;-)
Here a photo again , not much time, not much photos! But a lot a fun!!:D

xoxoxoBruce 06-02-2011 07:11 PM

She may be small, but looks like a healthy spoiled brat. :lol2:

BigV 06-02-2011 07:15 PM

Spoiled? She's a doll! You can't spoil a doll!

xoxoxoBruce 06-02-2011 07:19 PM

York will explain, she's definitely spoiled.

York 06-03-2011 02:20 AM

BigV, wer talking about the one on the right! :p:
And yes , she is spoiled! :D Only child and she gets everything just by the looks she gives us! ;)
5 years an about 20 Barbie Dolls , 9 babydolls and the list goes on and on.... ;)

xoxoxoBruce 06-04-2011 01:22 AM

And you love every minute of it. :D

York 06-05-2011 01:15 AM

Haha, a lot of them , not every! She can tire us out sometimes, just by asking the same thing 100 times in 5 minutes! She wants to know everything and if i explain she still knows better! haha She sometimes wines and wines.... but thats how girls are i guess! :D :D :D

xoxoxoBruce 06-07-2011 03:21 PM

Yup. :D

Took some pics yesterday... stuck inside with a big summer carnival and a lot a rain outside!

classicman 06-19-2011 09:19 AM

:)

Sundae 06-19-2011 01:26 PM

She's the same age as my friend's daughter; a school year younger then the children I teach.

No doubt she is amazing and intelligent as she is.
But give her a year or two and she will still be Daddy's girl and yet off the chart on the amazing and intelligence scale.

I love that I get to watch this in other people's children.
Keep posting York.
And a YouTube clip of her speaking Belgian (Dutch?) wouldn't go amiss.

Lola Bunny 06-20-2011 12:07 AM

Kids can be so cute. :)

York 06-20-2011 12:09 PM

Yes they CAN Lola! :D
Sundae , ill try to put one up! Ill have a search when she's in bed! ;)

York 06-20-2011 04:01 PM

Here is one, i dont know exactly what she said anymore... Its 11pm here an time for bed! Look for antoher one later! ;-)

Lola Bunny 06-20-2011 04:28 PM

York: I hope you don't mind but I watched your other videos of your daughter. Oh my gosh, she is so adorable. :D

xoxoxoBruce 06-22-2011 10:25 PM

You should buy that poor deprived child more toys.

Lola Bunny 06-22-2011 10:36 PM

Why? His exercise machine works perfectly well as a swing. :D

xoxoxoBruce 06-22-2011 10:38 PM

Look at the background.;)

Lola Bunny 06-22-2011 10:43 PM

Hmm....she has toys. You really think she doesn't have enough or you're being sarcastic? I feel dumb now. :(

xoxoxoBruce 06-22-2011 10:52 PM

Don't be, York and I have been going at this for a long time, so I kind of post in shorthand. He understands, but others may not get my sarcasm. :D
