aheheheheheh a beardie fan huh?

When I find my recharger for my digital camera, I'll post some pics on the pet thread. he is absoultely gorgeous. He was chocolate brown as a pup with ginger flashes at the backs of his legs and a proper white collie flash on his neck....now he's a sort of pale cappuccino froth colour, with a pale brown (almost pink) nose and and green gold eyes.

I grew up with Beardies, they're great.

The book 'Totem and Taboo' by Freud .

Do you have to believe you've been reincarnated to have a totem?

A horribly outdated and very enthnocentric book. Inapplicable. How the man drew the connection from totems and animism to the prevention of incest in tribal cultures, I will never understand. He should have stuck to studying oversexed housewives in Vienna.

Not always, no.

Freud = irrational belief . Thank you for being one of the few who ALMOST got my point , Kitsune .

KinkyVixen 07-18-2006 01:08 PM

So...I guess I don't understand this totem ish...sounds like it's something made up. A state of mind, er something.

Buddug 07-18-2006 01:11 PM

What you have just said is the conclusion that most people come to after they have been in university for twenty years , KinkyVixen .

Buddug 07-18-2006 01:15 PM

This means that you should come up with a BETTER definition ( unless of course you are one of the sad louts who have been in university for twenty years . I know that in American universities , strange things like washing socks and drumming count towards having a degree )

I had no idea that dropping a single line and referencing a work by title and author constituted a complex facet of discussion, so you'll have to pardon me if I only managed to grasp the very edge of your point that you managed to fit in such a concise and perfect package. Care to elaborate on your comment beyond the eternal depth of "Freud = irrational belief", or should I give you some time to relax from your mentally strenuous musings and post that this simply "dovetails into your original message"?

Buddug 07-18-2006 01:46 PM

I shall forgive you .

A better definition for what?
I haven't been in college for 20 years...but considering I'm 26 I have been in school for almost all of my life.

EDIT: nevermind :) I'll just mind muh bidness.
