Yeah. I kind of think that once you (I) love someone, i can't just take it back. I think... Think... That she transmuted her love for me into hate... But I've never been able to do that. I can't hold a grudge for shit. They're just too heavy.

xoxoxoBruce 07-13-2017 12:46 AM

Besides, when you tell them you still have love for them... it drives them crazy.

captainhook455 07-15-2017 06:49 AM

I still love my 2nd and 5th girlfriend in life who was the same person. She was right in so many ways, but not enough. I was wrong for her. She was so much more intelligent than I.

As we broke up the 2nd time I said tell me you don't love me. She said she couldn't do that. I said, why not? She said she loved me tremendously she just couldn't stand me.

My mother once said of my 2nd wife that anyone who could put up with Edwards shit must be a helluva woman.

Wow, Jim. That really hit too close to home for me. Just dealt with my ex in much the same way. Bailed on the new one too. Flyin' solo now.

Man...You guys don't ex-husband worth a damn.:lol2:

That's a big thick hunk of walnut. I see a mantle piece. If i rip it on half, then join the ends.... Or a coffee table.... Or something else I haven't thought of yet. But, very cool.

And that hubcap sized skull is right up my alley. I don't know what i did, but, thanks, bro! Very cool. She was glad to meet you, too.

Gravdigr 08-02-2017 09:31 AM

Oh, covfefe table!! Big knot side up. Lots of clear.

glatt 08-02-2017 09:55 AM

I gotta disagree. Big knot side down. Nothing against the knot, but the live edges would look better with the taper on the underside. Plus, then stuff won't tip off the side when it gets too close to the edge.

xoxoxoBruce 08-02-2017 11:12 AM

I was out visiting a friend at Domaki Leather in Lancaster County when I saw that skull hanging on the wall. Now I had imagined you bought every damn version of that skull on the planet, but when I saw that one I figured I had a winner. Amanda (man, is she beautiful) confirmed you didn't.

You had asked about that piece of Black Walnut limb (yes limb, not trunk) but someone with bigger tits asked me to leave it to her in my will. This past spring she charmed me out of my surface planer and I said damnit she's not getting both. So I figured I'd do a cheap wedding present. :lol2:
It's been in the damp cellar for years so the moisture content is probably high. Take that into account before deciding what to do with it.

PS... we old cripples hate to see plants next to the railing on steps. Looks great, as does your whole yard, but hazardous. ;)

lumberjim 08-02-2017 03:35 PM

Well it was very cool of you to remember, and take the trouble to bring it. And it's heavy. You're pretty strong for an old cripple.

Clodfobble 08-02-2017 10:17 PM

No pictures, huh? I fear we'll never see Bruce's handsome profile on the cellar ever again...
