Nice!

I gave out my PO Box address 2 weeks ago, mainly as a joke to see if people would actually send me their unwanted Kellogg's food products (due to the whole Breitbart thing). A friend of mine decided to be a joker and is sending me travel guides from all over the place. I only found out it was him a few days ago. I love it though...I enjoy that sort of thing, and rarely get anything sent to my PO Box anyway.

The scholarship blew me away when I saw the dollar amount, but then I compared it to the full price and it's not so impressive after all. $35k scholarship on a $65k sticker price. Ugh. $30k per year.

Still, she got in and they are giving her $140k over 4 years.

And she likes the school, so even though this is her "safety" it's great news.

Solid! It's an exciting time.

Well done sir, sorry about the tuition but we are in a higher ed bubble. What is she going to study?

glatt 12-14-2016 07:33 AM

She's interested in some sort of science.

My hope is she picks a lucrative field. Something like chemistry. But I think she's going for bio. She likes working with animals.

Awesome! Awesome awesome! Hope she finds this a windfall. A small liberal arts college is a fine way to go in my opinion. (Cos that's what I did, at Albright, roughly an Ursinus sister school up the road)

(A few days before I went to work for the narcissist, I got an email from Ursinus asking for an interview for a job opening I had inquired about. Had I not already accepted... well I suspect it would have been perfect. )

She's looking at a handful of schools. All similar to Ursinus. Small liberal arts places. I think she will fit in well at one.

Congrats glatt. Great school. My daughter went to Neumann University. Not on par with Ursinus costwise, but I still feel your pain. Does that # include books and food?

glatt 12-14-2016 11:05 AM

That number includes food and books and misc fees.

That feeling when: 70% of the way through your financial year you've invoiced as much business as in the whole of the last financial year ...
(after losing a major client who represented around 40% of your income)
