Im new on this forum, but I have been working on TINP for about a year now.
I've gotten to mostly where all of you are at. But I strongly recommend readin most of Haruki Murakamis books. They Help out alot with clues and uns/pws. I've read DDD and WSC; but also read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, and Kafka on the Shore. They help out alot!!

Really? The only ones I've found particularly useful with TiNP were A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance Dance Dance. The rest haven't come up.

Although I loved Kafka on the Shore. Great book.

On the TiNP forums, some new possible leads have come up. Mary Queen of Scots (and crownswordscepterm, a translation of one of the barcodes) and Phantom of the Opera are popular ones.

The TINP forums are back up? if so, what's the new link? cause the old one (http://www.thisisnotporn.com/forums/index.php?act=idx) doesn't work.

I think it's being hosted by PriestX now or something.

New blood here... tons of posts to go back through.

I was wondering if anyone has any sort of Excel file on TiNP? I'm probably going to start one, and if anyone's interested in sharing let me know.

Atari, you're right, it's PriestX that's hosting the new forum.

Lordy... I've read up to page 66 today. You guys have done A LOT of work. I can't believe your dedication.

Hopefully I'll be able to help out once I get caught up.

Hey, i'm sorta new to TiNP... i played NotPron for a while but found it kinda boring and repetative... TiNP seems a bit more challenging and creepy, so i thought i'd give it a try.

Unfortunately, i'm kinda stuck. Like, already (yeah, i probably aren't cut out for this).

The first level has changed according to many people on the web, and no-one seems to have the solution for the new one, and there is physically nothing i can do to solve it...

You all may not have seen the first page for a while, but it's now something called "Time's Changing". The picture is of an oven in the middle of a field, with a glowing sign in the window. There is an old song playing in the background, with the sound of a baby crying over the top of it. I found out that the baby crying is actually the audio version of the soundwave that is on the cover of the album the song is on, though that doesn't seem to help...

There is only one link on the page, and that's the sign in the window of the oven. When you click it, it produces a window with the text "Would you still love someone, even if they did something really terrible?", which returns naff all on Google. In the source code it all seems kosher except for something non-code saying "CUT AND CUT AND CUT", which according to the code prior, is a status message that should appear on mouseover of something, yet there is nothing to mouseover, and a direct reference to Dante Alighieri's "The Inferno" in the form of "<input name="Beware" type="hidden" id="Beware" value="Abandon hope, all ye who enter here">"

Beware, hidden, Beware, Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.

None of that stuff is anywhere in the page. I know it was said at the start of this thread that answers were not going to be given, but i just need something to get me started. Can this page even be solved? Or is it some attempt at shutting the project down?

Sorry for the huge post, and thanks in advance for any help.

uh, normally when you click on the oven page it would lead into the next step of the game... but it's currenty being used for another part of the puzzle... the link is here:

hello all. im new to the forums here, but ive been working on TIMP for a while. where im at is after the page with the lights, on the first light theres a tree, then a house, then you click the window and you get a different shot of the house. here are my theories adn developments:

first, as you progress through the two pictures of the house its as if youre walking around the house. i doubt its relevant.

second, on the second picture of the house, in the window there are some characters that i revealed in photoshop. they are as follows:

m(possibly n)6 9vk8lzxsvj(possibly i)
6lGDly1ll

i cant decipher it, but i havnt tried too hard...

finally, in the source code there are a ton of wierd characters and i put it in some thing that makes pictures out of stuff like that (it was posted somewhere in the 60's of pages, but it looked like a globe.

im not sure what this really means, but i hope its a relevant development!!!

That stuff in the window translates to "Where did he drop his axe, Vignere?

I think the weird characters you're talking about are an ascii picture of Blaise Vignere, unless you're talking about different characters.

My findings are strange...

Well, I found out a few things (mainly on the robot silvers page).
If you hover over all five circles from left to right, (use IE) the corner of the page where it says "done" will turn to five words, one per circle.

We Live As We Dream...

Then, I combined four sentences. I hovered over the two middle windmills and got What was that all about? and Did I kill Kiki?

Then, I used the sentences on the page where you clicked the date.

I got: What was that all about? Did I kill Kiki? There was nothing I could do. He had disappeared. Mabye that relates somehow?

Then, I found something else. On the page with the car, the rollover thing with the tractor says a life half lived. At the time, I was researching The death of a traveling salesman. It turns out, that is the name of a play with the salesman dying at the age of 60. That sounds like a life half lived!

Well, that's all I found. I hope it's useful.

Bunches of info of this, including the answer to the death of a traveling salesman!!

Hey, first post, but I've been really interested in TINP, as so with my sister (who happens to be GameGirl).

Well, last night, we both spent a good while trying to do research to find the answers to "Audition, Death of a Traveling Salesman" and "Frankenstein now, Yuki's Bird", believing this is where the world was stuck.

We were wrong >_>

But I do have two questions. What time were these virus-containing e-mails sent?

And when was the front page changed and have we found out how we are supposed to proceed normally now?

So what? Three questions. I was close >_>
