whew....glad to hear it.

oh and happy you have a brand spankin new puter too

So wait, y'all. Please don't just brush this off as a false alarm. It isn't. What has been found is potentially pre-cancerous. It's good that it's not actual cancer and has been caught really early. But it sounds like Bri will probably get more surgery. And need our support. And will need to be super-vigilant for the rest of her life. Which may also need support.

May all future alarms be false..

Bri, be strong. You've done surgery before, you can do it again, you might not even need the dreaded drains this time. I am very glad that it's not actual cancer again, but I know that whilst that is awesome news, this still needs to be dealt with. Here's hoping the "dealing with" is a walk in the park.

It's a bullshit term. Different types of cells have different probabilities of becoming cancerous, but they're all capable. Every living cell is pre-cancerous or cancerous.

Bri found out hers are in the not cancerous (actually not malignant) category, so if you'll excuse me, it's time to happy dance happy dance happy dance happy dance happy dance happy dance happy dance happy dance...

monster 11-18-2009 08:33 AM

yes, you are right, but no-one is ever happy about surgery is what i was trying to say. It still sucks. but happy happy happy not cancer.

xoxoxoBruce 11-18-2009 11:09 AM

I follow you... sucks to be in the race, but goddamnit she's winning. Woo Hoo, go girl!

I've been in the hospital with THAT shit lately. Finals week, too. I don't think the goddess wants me to graduate - and really, with the way I abuse apostrophes' , I can't say I blame her.

Probably caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, naked. Think of what you're doing to those poor doctors. ;)

that would've killed me!

ZenGum 11-21-2009 04:55 PM

I have basic first aid training. The thought of putting my fingers on someone's wrist/neck for a pulse and counting it at 230 bpm scares the willies out of me.

Operator! Give me the number for nine-one-one!
