Unless maybe you're from New England.

No, father and bother sound the same in New England.

I completely missed this thread the first time around. I'm afraid to ask, but what's my secret nickname, Ducks?

DucksNuts 04-01-2007 08:37 PM

If I ever catch you on yahoo and you dont scare me away...I may just tell you Stevie boy!! :D

SteveDallas 04-01-2007 09:28 PM

That's a charming offer, but I don't seem to be able to control the scaring-away women thing. It's sort of an involuntary reflex. (Just ask Brianna.)

monster 04-01-2007 09:36 PM

what's mine, ducks?

DucksNuts 04-01-2007 11:20 PM

See Monster, you threw me a curve ball. You look NOTHING like I pictured in my head....so its all screwed up there at the minute.

I will get back to you when the vision is clear.

PS....Ibby is gonna be PISSED!!

I like it. A thread started as a way to upset Ibram, drifts into teenage ego stroking, then becomes the DucksNuts version of LJ's username thread...

Great driftage.

Now, what's mine Ducks? :)

DucksNuts 04-02-2007 10:22 PM

Scooter :D

For 2 reasons, when i was in school, my gf used to draw cartoons and one of them was Scooter Girl, we used to refer to her as SG...also she was blone and has the biggest Boobicas a girl could have and still stand upright.

I miss Scooter Girl, she was awesome and had heaps of fun...she was popular with the guys.

I'll scrounge around and see if I can find an old drawing.

Sundae 04-03-2007 03:34 AM

Ooh thank you!

Actually, SD, the more I learn of your intense nerdiness, the more I want you, baby. Gold key, right? :D ooooooo, baby!

Ibby 04-08-2007 09:57 PM

As is befitting the 100th post in this thread...

KEEP FUCKIN' TALK ABOUT MEEEEE!

Urbane Guerrilla 04-09-2007 01:18 AM

I dunno, Bruce, as both my parents were from around Boston, and I never remember them rhyming "father" and "bother."

I do remember my mother making "khaki" and "car key" sound alike once. I had to ask; she was indeed speaking of clothing. A momentary attack of acute Bostonianism, I think.
