For a change I decided to watch BGT as it aired - this audition really got me. Very moving. They've only been singing together for about a year.

Yes. You can buy cartridges with varying degrees of filtration. Easy to change (when you remember)
They've got them at most hardware stores or your local house depot, if you swing that way.

xoxoxoBruce 05-15-2016 07:16 PM

Ha Ha Ha...

xoxoxoBruce 05-18-2016 12:25 AM

Where from and when all them furriners snuck in...

Gravdigr 05-18-2016 10:40 AM

Fucking uppity-assed Greenlanders, man...What? We ain't good enough for ya?

xoxoxoBruce 05-18-2016 01:59 PM

I think they're Danish citizens, why would they come here when they can go to Denmark.

Gravdigr 05-19-2016 11:50 AM

When he takes the hot goop, cuts off a hunk with scissors, and feeds it into the rollers, he wearing heavy gloves to protect himself from the heat. Smart, but there's no way those gloves would be allowed in food production, there's no way to clean them.

Undertoad 05-19-2016 05:46 PM

i enjoyed that tremendously even though i am carb-restricted

xoxoxoBruce 05-21-2016 07:20 PM

Making fake food for display in the window of a Jap restaurant.

footfootfoot 05-22-2016 04:09 PM

That never gets old. It reminds me, in that it involves floating the medium on water, of the paper marbling.

DanaC 05-23-2016 01:40 PM

Ohmigod...I remember our science teacher doing that. He took the entire supply of sodium from the science block, and led us all out to the pond behind the school (referred to as the 'nature reserve') and threw it in.

Of course by then he'd totally stopped giving a fuck and was biding his time til he could get back into an industry job :p

xoxoxoBruce 05-27-2016 08:18 PM

A very pretty, very cool, but very inefficient layout camper.

It's only $10,999 at walmart, and $8,836 at Gadget Circuit, maybe I should grab one is case I get a Cannon. :lol2:

Retired people move to Florida, retired school buses move further south.
Caution: loudish sound track.

xoxoxoBruce 06-07-2016 01:41 AM

How about a cardboard house...

xoxoxoBruce 06-09-2016 12:00 PM

Mike Rowe for President!

how the Army waterproofs engines... may want to turn the sound down

Gravdigr 06-22-2016 02:15 PM

Asbestos...bare hands...What could go wrong?

xoxoxoBruce 06-22-2016 05:36 PM

Pretty sticky, I doubt there was much airborne asbestos fiber... until the bits that didn't get pealed off dry out. ;)

xoxoxoBruce 06-24-2016 11:18 AM

Somebody copied that 1974 VW commercial. This could be done with a CJ Jeep also.

Gravdigr 06-29-2016 02:38 PM

Gear ratio? How about 11,373,076:1?

Stay awake if you can:

Then he asks what it could be used for...:yelsick:

Diamond crusher? Jar opener? Nut/bolt untightener?

Gravdigr 06-29-2016 02:39 PM

Dude reminds me of an evil genius. He should have been stroking a white cat throughout the video.

xoxoxoBruce 06-30-2016 03:47 PM

Fall down, go boom...

Gravdigr 07-05-2016 01:41 PM

This is kind of awesome:

Pico and ME 07-05-2016 05:54 PM

Oh wow that is. I could use it, as long as it could be modified to pick up most anything.

[quote=xoxoxoBruce;963549]Fall down, go boom...

Bruce I'm not going to tell you how much time I wasted on that video....:p:

xoxoxoBruce 07-05-2016 11:25 PM

Yeah, I know. :o I watch the whole thing AND backed up a couple of spots. iI's a shame there's always so much dust, I'd like to see how some of the top parts ended up. Some looked like it collapsed in a heap, while others looked like the top tipped over ending up well outside the footprint.

Gravdigr 07-06-2016 12:38 PM

I watched the whole thing. I meant to watch about two or three minutes' worth.

BigV 07-12-2016 08:51 PM

Granted, this is no bandsaw, but it's still really, really cool.

Gravdigr 07-14-2016 04:04 PM

I know, old and busted. Still a trip:

footfootfoot 07-14-2016 10:02 PM

I'm still laughing three days later.

"New phone doesn't fit the old charger. That's your hero?"

Big Sarge 07-18-2016 12:28 PM

Something different.

Clodfobble 07-19-2016 12:16 AM

OMG I have a new favorite thing. (Worth a full screen, and good loud volume.)

Undertoad 07-19-2016 07:21 AM

*standing ovation*

Gravdigr 07-19-2016 01:53 PM

That man needs a hobby.

A different hobby.

Pretty cool.

Big Sarge 07-19-2016 03:13 PM

I always enjoyed the Sound of Music.

Gravdigr 07-19-2016 04:14 PM

The hills are not alive, and neither is that video.

That vid didn't work last night on the Nook. My apologies.

Let there be light:

glatt 07-26-2016 07:53 AM

Every once in a while, I find myself going through my YouTube history trying to figure out what combination of videos I have watched that is causing the unwanted suggestions I am getting, and then deleting those videos from my history.

A week or so ago, there was that video of the parking lot mishap where the truck driver hit the adjacent truck as he was pulling out of his spot. That led to some other fail video I watched, and before I knew it, there were all sorts of horrific death and mayhem videos being offered up to me. I'm not so interested in snuff films. Thanks anyway, Google. So I had to go back and start deleting viewed video history. Same thing with some rare color WW2 footage I watched not so long ago.

It's fun to watch mishaps where nobody is getting killed. I was watching a fail video of trees being cut down. Pretty funny watching all these trees coming down on houses or parked trucks, but as the video continued, they started getting to the widow makers. No, I don't want to see a tree landing on someone. Even an idiot who did it to themselves. Delete.

Happy Monkey 08-01-2016 09:54 PM

Six minutes of sanding, cleaning, and painting.

With some nice music.

Gravdigr 08-02-2016 07:59 AM

Cool.

glatt 08-02-2016 08:46 AM

They got paid to do that.

Big Sarge 08-03-2016 09:45 AM

Dedicated to Gravdigr. I think he is the only other person on this site who will understand the artistic beauty

fargon 08-03-2016 10:15 AM

Huh?

Big Sarge 08-03-2016 10:27 AM

I forgot Fargon has the same art appreciation level as Gravdigr and I. Would you believe they received a $489,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts? I can't get a VA cardiac referral scheduled but I have this to watch.

Well no; and who told you that;

because they are actually Canadians

(and that kind of explains it anyway)

US Army WTF! sent an email stating they had received the grant for a US tour.

Undertoad 08-03-2016 03:57 PM

Based on searching the grant system at apps.nea.gov/grantsearch/, I believe that between 2004 and 2015, six US-based arts organizations were given NEA grants on the order of $10-20,000, for events and programs that included the Chouinard company, typically as one of several dance troupes. I welcome corrections from your source.

Big Sarge 08-03-2016 06:21 PM

Well, egg on my face. I took their message on face value. Could they possibly be referencing an upcoming tour?
