Robben Ford's cover of "what's so funny about peace love and understanding?"

Where are the strong, and who are the trusted?

In-A Gadda-Da-Vida, the 17-minute one. I refuse to listen to the short version.

With the release of the new Who album today, I've got it on repeat for the rest of the day on Unity Radio.
Tune in and enjoy! :D

Ergh, I can't stand them. I love The Who, but when half the band are dead, they arent The Who anymore.

Sunzabitches.

cableguy 11-01-2006 09:44 AM

True, I think The Who ceased to be when Keith Moon died. Face Dances was a pretty solid album even so, with Kenny Jones doing a fine job. ;)

Alot of drummers you could find a sort-of replacement for, but Moonie was just too unique. Who the hell could ever bash their way, totally by the seat of their pants, through a whole set using four 14" racks, two 16" floor toms, double bass and no high-hat? The guy was a freak-a-zoid.

Undertoad 11-01-2006 11:59 AM

I have always hated Moon's style. I understand why it was appealing, but the guy had no touch whatsoever. And Entwhistle was terribly underused. I expect most of the time he was trying to rein in Moon to try to keep the tempo somewhere in the zone. One of the best singers ever, one of the best songwriters, but I never liked the Who.

Flint 11-01-2006 02:45 PM

Whether you love him or hate him, either way I'm just sayin' he was one-of-a-kind.

I saw the who live in the 70's and maybe I caught them on a bad day but it was not one of the best live sets I've seen..
Prima donna's was the term 2hrs late on stage a rushed cobbled together set and no encore, don't care how big a band you are you should at least do one number..I saw Little Feat and The Outlaws on the same bill..Little feat did a cracking set, that band was so cool pity they all died...

cableguy 11-02-2006 08:48 AM

By request, I'm playing The Who's new album again today, as well as some other Who, and some Pete Townshend stuff all day on Unity Radio.
:D
