At the time, I was living in San Leandro (just a few miles north of the ^^ that ^^). About an hour before the earthquake, I boarded a plane to Chicago for a long-deserved vacation. As we were reaching altitude, the pilot made an announcement: Ladies and gentlemen, you're all probably wondering about the score at Candlestick Park right now. I do not have that information, but we have just received word that a massive earthquake has hit the Bay Area.
