If you zoom in or look very closely, the yellow band turns white in between two blue stripes.
Blue and yellow are complementary primary colors. Its not nice to fool old eyes. |
On my monitor it's a black band what looks like the yellow band.

A different kind of optical illusion, WW I the Brits painted a bow wave on ships so u-boats would misjudge their speed.

They were moving just not full tilt boogie the bow wave indicated. Out on the ocean isn't smoke dispersal more a matter of wind?
