A schol girl gunned down a bunch of kids in her school. When asked why, she replied "I don't like Mondays"

glatt 07-25-2006 12:46 PM

Spexxvet 07-25-2006 03:17 PM

Who played lead guitar on "Hang on Sloopy"?

glatt 07-25-2006 03:25 PM

Just guessing... Robby Krieger?

Forget it. I just cheated and Googled the answer.

Elspode 07-25-2006 10:53 PM

Rick Derringer?

barefoot serpent 07-26-2006 09:35 AM

Cool! Some of my brain cells are still working!

What was unusual about Jimi Hendrix' Fender Stratocasters?

Undertoad 07-26-2006 12:38 PM

He played lefty but used righty guitars and strung them upside down.

Elspode 07-26-2006 12:39 PM

I knew that one wouldn't last long in this crowd.

UT, take it away!

Undertoad 07-26-2006 02:02 PM

Still on level Easy: how many musicians were in Ben Folds Five?

Spexxvet 07-26-2006 02:16 PM

5?

Oh my gosh! You like me, you really like me!

Ok, seriously gotta love the process of elimination. Now for a question...

I know this is easy but I really can't think of anything else:

What song was written about the mugging of a TV newsanchor?

(Won't be back on til tomorrow...feel free to answer and re-question at will!)

:)

Pancake Man 07-26-2006 04:45 PM

Was it that great 1972 hit "Give Me All Your Money, Punk"?

capnhowdy 07-26-2006 04:51 PM

The Night Chicago Died?

Undertoad 07-26-2006 04:55 PM

What's the Frequency, Kenneth?

Trilby 07-26-2006 05:07 PM

I think UT is right. She DID say we could move on, right?

jinx 07-26-2006 05:15 PM

He is and she did.

Undertoad 07-26-2006 05:34 PM

*Nsync member Lance Bass admitted this week via People magazine that he is homosexual. Assuming that all members of *Nsync are also homosexual, name one other Gay American who has been a member of *Nsync.

Undertoad 07-26-2006 05:36 PM

(that is the mathematical usage of "assuming". we don't know if they actually are gay but for the purposes of this problem, we say they are.)

bluecuracao 07-26-2006 05:56 PM

Justin Timberlake?

Undertoad 07-26-2006 06:14 PM

correct

bluecuracao 07-26-2006 06:56 PM

How embarrassing.

Anyhoo...What does OMD stand for?

JayMcGee 07-26-2006 07:22 PM

Orchestral Manouevers in the Dark

bluecuracao 07-26-2006 07:51 PM

That's right.

JayMcGee 07-26-2006 08:01 PM

Still got their first album (vinyl, of course).

I notice we had a CSNY questsion before....

name the three bands they came from, and who came from which band. (you should already have a head start with Nash)

Trilby 07-27-2006 07:49 AM

Crosby=Byrds
Stills=Buffalo Springfield
Nash=Hollies

?

JayMcGee 07-27-2006 08:51 AM

Trilby 07-27-2006 08:53 AM

Young=Buffalo Sprigfield

JayMcGee 07-27-2006 08:54 AM

Trilby 07-27-2006 09:21 AM

What was the original name of the band that eventually became U2?

Trilby 07-27-2006 02:25 PM

Yes! Feedback!

Your turn, glatt!

glatt 07-27-2006 02:35 PM

Wow, and I just guessed.

OK. Queen recorded many albums in their early years where they proudly stated in the liner notes that no synthesizers were used on those albums. Then one year, they decided to embrace synthesizers. Name the first album (or any song off the album if you don't know the album's name) where Queen used synthesizers.

Pancake Man 07-27-2006 04:08 PM

Night at the Opera?

glatt 07-27-2006 04:25 PM

Nope that was when they had no synths.

Actually, I think I'm going to ask a different question. My memory was that it was a really obvious answer, but when I confirmed the answer I saw I was wrong. My apologies. Let me ask a simpler question.

What was Lefty Wilbury's real name?

Trilby 07-27-2006 04:28 PM

Tom Petty?

JayMcGee 07-27-2006 05:40 PM

Eric Clapton
