I am having coffee with brown sugar. It appears as if I ran out of regular sugar and am almost out of half and half....The gross part? I think the brown sugar is about a year old, and I have been trying to chip at it like an iceberg, with a spoon.

Put it in a hot oven for a minute to dry it out and it'll soften right up. (remove from plastic bag first)

zippyt 02-13-2010 07:15 PM

But the burning Plastic bag adds that smokey flavor !!

skysidhe 02-13-2010 09:24 PM

The same caffeine free diet cola for the last few hours. I guess I'm not very thirsty.

Brown sugar is great in coffee. mm

Microwave for a few seconds and you don't have to take it out of the bag.

jinx 02-13-2010 09:49 PM

But you'll get cancer and your sex organs will fall off.

xoxoxoBruce 02-13-2010 09:52 PM

Nonsense, the time it takes to soften the sugar, nothing even gets warm.

SamIam 02-14-2010 09:18 AM

Coffee with cream for me. Now in the old days I might have run out and tried the stout. I believe the liquor store here opens at 9:00am on Sunday. :drunk:

DanaC 02-14-2010 09:21 AM

Instant coffee, with milk and sugar. Third cup of the day... which considering I didn't actually surface until almost 2pm (eek!) is probably too much.

I've noticed since the snowstorm that my tap water is superchlorinated. The smell is overpowering when filling the sink to do dishes.

Shiner Commerator.

Cloud 02-17-2010 09:30 PM

I've mostly lost my taste for beer, so I've been drinking wine lately. However, I notice that wine disturbs my sleep patterns, so it's back to beer. But I only like watery beer anymore, so . . . Bud Lite.

Pie 02-17-2010 10:11 PM

I went out for a beer with a friend last night and had some Ypsi Gypsy which was nicer than I expected (I generally find their beers too heavy and sweet)
