We'll see when the language is finalized, and the bill gets massaged in both houses.

I've already contacted my congressmen who's reelection bids are not that far off.

Where did I say that was a desirable situation, or that foster care is better.

Nor did I say there were, yet. I'm saying nip it in the bud. An ounce of prevention and all that.

Oh, and guest workers have to be spayed or neutered.

Why do you say guest workers should be spayed or neutered? They're not dogs, despite your fucked-up analogy.

I was yanking your chain.

Great, then we agree the little darlings would be better off with their parents.
Um... that's what I proposed.

If you told them that you thought deportation was the only solution, they'll just write you off as an extremist. It was stated very clearly today that 12 million people will not be deported.

Wishful thinking and reality are often two very different things.

xoxoxoBruce 05-17-2007 11:27 PM

Now that's what I've been trying to tell you. Wishful thinking won't make criminals morph into undocumented.

Say goodnight Gracie.

bluecuracao 05-17-2007 11:31 PM

No morphing required, in many of these cases. It's reality.

xoxoxoBruce 05-17-2007 11:45 PM

Are you telling me people that enter this country illegally are not criminals?
C'mon now, you know better than that.

criminal
• noun a person who has committed a crime.

Entering this country illegally is a crime.
Being in this country illegally is a crime.

rkzenrage 05-17-2007 11:59 PM

Hiring illegals is a crime.
Hiding illegals is a crime.
Keep the ball rolling.

bluecuracao 05-18-2007 12:00 AM

Jaywalking is a crime, and so is coasting through a stop sign. I guess if you're going to be a hardass about it, people who do these things are "criminals."

rkzenrage 05-18-2007 12:24 AM

I got a ticket for jaywalking once. I did not complain.
It is a hazard.

bluecuracao 05-18-2007 12:27 AM

*gasp* You're a criminal!

rkzenrage 05-18-2007 12:41 AM

Oh yeah... the chicks can't get enough of this rebel! I walked on a yellow once too!

Ibby 05-18-2007 12:43 AM

Did they carry you back across to the side of the road you started on and make you walk back again?
