I bought five today, one for me and the others for Xmas gifts. There were three remaining on the shelf. This was in a major shopping area; so, it looks like the importer isn't out of them just yet.

I think it's a one-off deal ...

What? Boooo! You suck me in and get me hooked, then dump like a used Kleenex. Cruel, I tells ya, cruel.

Well I hope they order another lot. That was some good cheese. I stopped back at the Trader Joe's in Ute's neighborhood tonight on my way home, but it's really gone. I got some of that Dubliner Irish cheddar buster mentioned and a block of English coastal cheddar from Dover.... 15 months old... And a block of 12 month Canadian cheddar. Also picked up some hard Soppressata and one other tube meat to take to mom's.

My Dad used to buy Canadian cheddar when he had an appetite.
He always used to eye me sideways when I helped myself to it.
Sadly, by the time I worked on a cheese counter he wasn't very interested in what I brought home, so I never really got to "repay" him for tucking into "his" cheese.

I bought and cooked food for all of us when I lived together of course.
But it would have been nice to reciprocate in kind.

I gave a block to my dad. It, along with a sweet 2003 Rioja I've been saving will be
the opening act for the feast of the seven fishes on Thursday. I'm VERY excited about it. :)

There's no more Isle of Arran's finest at my local Trader Joe's either.

I have two left, I'm saving for New Years Eve.

Any idea if they're selling it again this year?

classicman 12-05-2016 12:54 PM

Trader Joe's on 202 in Wilm. had it. I think it was $7.99lb. I was there about 2 weeks ago.

Hmmm.... Marlton is closest to me, but I work bell to bell all week this week.... Hopefully it is there Sunday

classicman 12-06-2016 10:27 AM

Call the store. See if they have it.

This place was mentioned at Forks last night. LeRarysville Cheese Factory

Unfortunately, unless you're interested in making cheese in Amish country, they are selling out.
