Maybe they're meant to be a matched set; in my experience, it's the boyfriend that grows when the girlfriend gets wet.

We grew up with the chalk holder thingy that would hold 5 pieces of chalk and make a staff. Which is still available, which now makes me sad that it's still available. Who is still using chalk? |
Last time I saw chalk was 2001, not counting sidewalk chalk for children.
