I have reviewed the results of your nuclear medicine scan done Jan 15, 2008.

The results were within normal limits. This means you are at low risk for a cardiovascular event over the next 2 years.

Most heart attacks, however, occur suddenly, so please follow the guidelines on the enclosed time is life handout.

classicman 01-17-2008 08:48 PM

Woo Hoo! We got us a busterb for a lil while longer!

TheMercenary 01-17-2008 09:04 PM

Dobutamine scans are usually reserved for people who cannot tolerate the regular stress tests. Did you do the treadmil stress test before the dob test?

busterb 01-18-2008 09:55 AM

Quote:

No. The nurse, tester and I had a few words about how it was done. I didn't think it was realistic for me to set in car for 1 1/2 hrs, then waiting rooms for a few more, then do the treadmill at her speed. My knees and hips don't work that way anymore.

classicman 01-18-2008 10:23 AM

Good for you to take a stand bb - many "older folks" would have just tried and failed or messed up their bodies further.

1 day road trip

Mike and I made a trip to my old home town today. We stopped at Whitesands Church, where my great grandpa and maw are buried. He was born 1833, died 1888. Couldn't read his wife's stone, only feel the letters. Born 1840, died 1904. On to New Hebron, where my Dad had the first of 3 5&10 stores.
Where his store, the grocery, barber shop, and movie house were is now a slab and a dollar general store.

We ate lunch in town and got to talk to an old couple who knew some of my folks. Told me if had got there earlier, could have got in a domino game with some real old men!

Couldn't find the old house. Where I think it was is a newer house with a trailer beside it.

On to Shivers grave yard, where my grand pa, maw,and aunts and uncles are buried,He was born 1867 died 1947. She died in 1933. I only remember seeing him once, an old man with a white beard.

One of my aunt's houses is still there, but someone has bought the land to grandpa's old place and close the pig trail. No one around there would answer their door. So lots of unanswered questions.

Only photos are of tomb stones, so if anyone gives a big rats ass, I'll post.

Shawnee123 03-13-2008 10:01 AM

I would love to see the tombstones. I have a thing for cemetaries anyway; there is an old cemetary across the road from where I grew up, we would go over there and play "ghost in the graveyard." Many of the stones can't be read they are so old. It's very cool.

Sounds like a neat trip, busterb.

Trilby 03-13-2008 10:36 AM

Oooo, yes, buster. Post the tombstones! I love old graveyards, etc. Very peaceful and sort of...I dunno...comforting in a way.

ps--I am morose today. I don't know why.

Shine's anvil launcher took a turn for the worst last Friday.

glatt 04-23-2008 03:36 PM

Do flames shoot out those cracks when you try to launch an anvil, and the anvil just sits there?

Edit: I just noticed the screws on the corners for leveling the thing up so the anvils go straight up. I like it. Nice design.

xoxoxoBruce 04-23-2008 10:27 PM

Good welders are sooo hard to get these days... all the good ones have retired. :lol2:

busterb 04-24-2008 08:38 PM

The Flying Anvil's engineering group was to meet this wk-end to plan a new gun. But we postponed, till we get around to it. Or sober up, what ever fits. :smack:

Medicare Investigation Rant

Remember back in Dec. when I was in a wreck? Today I got a letter from a contract investigative co. for Medicare that wants to know why I've not reported the insurance I have with State Farm. Hello, that is his insurance.

So they included a few forms to fill out and return. I typed a nice redneck reply for them and went to place in their envelope when I saw it had no postage.

WHF. You ask me for information and think I should pay for stamp? So send the assholes from homeland security before I'll buy a stamp for you!

busterb 05-22-2008 09:06 PM

I've been in New Orleans since about noon. Heavy rain, around 6". Wish the hell I was home.:lol2:

Cicero 05-22-2008 09:23 PM

You are in New Orleans? Damn buster! I wish I was with you right now!!!! That's where I want to be!!! (mmm..... and in a vat of buster's chocolate)

I'm threatening to go the next holiday season. I'm going to go see "my parents" in bilox'orleans.

Neu Awrlins trip

I got off interstate 10 at Chalmette. When you cross over the intercoastal water way and MS. river gulf outlet bridge you can see why any storm from that direction
would be bad news.
Nothing but marsh and lakes. Hwy 47 BTW.
I crossed the ferry and went to Belle Chasse to pick up canvas I'd had made. Then on to Gretna to visit. Stayed too long and got caught in a downpour and traffic.
TV said anywhere from 6 to 11" of rain.

Went to Metairie to stay with old friend. Last year she took some meds. that DR. told her might damage her liver, and did, big time. For now she's living in a studio apt.About as big as my living room.
Will move to son's house soon and apply for SSI.

The trip was a big let down for me. Damn we've all got old or died. Things have changed so much on the westbank, I was lost.

Went to Venice, nothing to see. Gov. told them to rebuild 1st living floor would have to be X' above sea level. So they just built a pad and got trailers.
Very little gas and no groceries below Belle Chasse. Oil Co's are in full swing there. Because they know to build outside levees. The inter and outer levees run
together at Venice. When water gets trapped inside it has to be pumped out.

Sorry no photos. Anything worth a shot would get you ran over or in jail for stopping.

Had good seafood at Deanies, in bucktown. I had the soft shell crabs. Also good in Belle Chasse at Salvo's, but there they serve in go plates.

This goat roping was 570 miles round trip. The 1st 361, I got 36 mpg. After being home and back to H-burg for Dr. visit was 32 mpg.
1 photo. I found this setting on her sink. COCK.

busterb 05-31-2008 09:04 PM

I forgot about the FEMA trailers stored at Purvis, MS. I drove around 3 sides the 29th when I went to VA. Dr. Unbelievable. If you should search for images, DO NOT click on Donklephant.com. Unless you have every pop-up blocker know to man. Or need to buy a car. Aw hell try it, it's fun!! not.

xoxoxoBruce 05-31-2008 09:11 PM

What were you driving?

busterb 05-31-2008 11:01 PM

03 honda.

Cicero 06-01-2008 01:44 AM

LOL! You are talking about where my brother lives! That poor sap! Hey that cock looks like my cock. Only smaller.
:)

busterb 06-01-2008 09:59 AM

BTW. N.O. area now has red light cameras.

xoxoxoBruce 06-01-2008 10:14 AM

Then it's a good idea to steal a car in the suburbs, to use in the city. ;)

New old pickup

1 Attachment(s)
My old blue, gray, and rust pickup was totaled back in Dec. I broke down and bought a 83 F-150, 6cyl, 4 on floor. Hope it'll serve the purpose. Have put more money into it than I would like. Door window weather stripping, window regulator. Don't have to worry about and old one nickle and dimeing you now days. Think dollars.

classicman 09-24-2008 09:53 PM

Missed you BB - good luck with the car. Did you name her yet?

footfootfoot 09-24-2008 09:53 PM

Hey Buster, I was just thinking about you today when I was shelling black beans, we've got about 3 joint compound pails. I was wondering how you were doing.

I like the truck, you got me beat by three years. I picked up an '86 F-150 4x4. Our local carbuerator (<--whatever) guru rebuilt it and it starts up great. It only had 88k miles and had never been driven out of town.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Sounds like a fair goat roping.

Undertoad 09-25-2008 07:01 AM

That's great. Having driven the truck for a while, I now covet me one of these old pickups just to get things done every once in a while.

glatt 09-25-2008 07:30 AM

Buster, looks like a great old truck. I'm a bit jealous. If you lived closer, I'd have a hard time resisting the urge to ask you if I could borrow it every now and then. You know, for truck stuff.

Clodfobble 09-25-2008 10:49 AM

Glad to hear from you, buster. Nice truck!

xoxoxoBruce 09-25-2008 11:04 AM

Cool. A coat of mud, some dead soldiers in the bed, and it'll feel like home.:thumb:

How about I just send you the recipe???

busterb 01-10-2009 11:48 PM

AN ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL SETTLE OVER THE REGION THURSDAY...BRINGING
SOME OF THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE SEASON. TEMPERATURES MAY FALL BELOW 20 DEGREES THURSDAY NIGHT WITH HIGHS ON FRIDAY STRUGGLING TO REACH THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 30S. THERE DOES EXIST THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD TEENS WITH HIGHS TEMPERATURES NOT GETTING ABOVE FREEZING ON FRIDAY.

While looking at this weather report, it brought back memories of the time I was waiting for my SS money. The city cut my gas off, them billed me for 5 bucks a month. I ask, If I can't pay my bill how in hell do you think I can pay 5 more dollars? Anyway I got that stopped and fixed the water heater for propane. I used it ever 2 days for shower, dish washing and laundry.
But years before that I asked them to change the name on account. No. You'll have to put up a deposit. Deposit my butt. This account has been here for years. OK. I'll go turn on water, gas and let run. Then you send bill when cut off to grave yard, because that's where the named person is resting. Fixed.

Later I'll post a letter to local phone co., which provides the cable, and internet. They just got a rate increase and I'm not happy. Today I watched football with ghost on screen. Hell was 33 players on each team. They change one channel to the CW network which states
Quote:

,"The CW Network was formed as a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corporation. The CW is America's fifth broadcast network and the only network targeting women 18-34."
I have as much use for that or a woman 18 to 34, as my dog does a bicycle.

busterb 11-23-2010 07:33 PM

Ode to Carl

No this won't be a lyrical verse.
My buddy Carl crossed the river late yesterday. He had stopped by around 10 AM to pickup pipe jack stands that he had loaned me. His brother called me about 8:30 PM.
He'd had one big heart attack not long ago. But wouldn't leave the smokes and Coors light alone. Hell he even set himself on fire. Which must have a chore, because, oxygen will not burn. Guess he saturated his mustache and got a spark?
I have a few tales to tell about us, so this is a work in progress. I posted a photo of the whole Sanders bunch once before. He's the one in stripped shirt. Someone made comment about him having horns.

We laid Carl to rest in and old country place. I know the guy who said last words. But that is another story. At least he didn't get off on saving souls Here's the URL for sat. shot. Maybe. If not change to sat view.
nope. I'm not sure how to post what I was looking at? Help? OK I turned on something that gave me this. 32052835-89.13721 . That's the sat view. Sorry if I missed a few decimal points. Hell I can't see. Other eye the 25 of Dec.

xoxoxoBruce 11-24-2010 05:08 PM

What are you looking at?

busterb 11-24-2010 05:20 PM

Bruce. I'm looking at a sat view of Mulberry cemetery

xoxoxoBruce 11-24-2010 05:23 PM

I see one in almost every state except Mississippi?

busterb 11-24-2010 05:35 PM

Damifino. Go to maps, then bay springs, then out hwy 18 to co road 29 then north a little bit. Hell I never knew about this place. His Dad is buired there, bunch of kin.
BTW. I'm headed to bed and thawing out the last shrimp that Carl gave me. T-day everyone!! Enjoy your blessings!

busterb 12-24-2010 09:23 AM

One track mind. That's what my Dad told me years ago. "Said I had one." Anyway for days I had single malt on my mind. So, only cure is to head to Laurel and get a jug. While there I picked up a jug of George Dickels white label besides the Glenfiddich. Then on to Taylorsville for Buddy's wash and dry, shots, etc.
Then to Center Ridge, don't even think blink your eye.
Back to pick-up Buddy. They gave her a shot that I didn't ask for and kept her collar. Boy pay back is going to be a bitch.

I'm sad to report Buddy, some how escaped her crate late last night and is a now dog of interest about drinking almost all the Bourbon, attacking me while I was sleeping and injuring my left ankle and knee.
+ the little bitch wouldn't pose for a photo while she was clean and pretty.
Merry Chirstmas......

busterb 12-24-2010 10:13 AM

Addendum.
If you had any idea how long I looked for the spelling for that damn word? Spell checker my ass. I had to dig out MR. Webster
Anyway Buddy is now suspected of going on a rampage in kitchen. After attacking buster.
She's the chief suspect in eating a great number of Butterfingers, Almond-joys, and Baby Ruth's

Clodfobble 12-24-2010 11:01 AM

Hope Buddy's okay, buster. I've heard chocolate can make dogs very sick. On that note, I hope your carpets are okay too...

Yeah, alcohol and chocolate are bad for dogs... people too.;)

Shawnee123 12-24-2010 11:19 AM

I hope your dog doesn't take up smoking, too. We don't need another ME in the world.

buster, you were in my dream! I only remember I was sitting there with another dwellar (no idea who) and the other dwellar said...well there's buster, and you came in and had a seat. That was it!
