Hey guys! Watch this!

Description:
Note to self: Large bonfires with over 1 ton of dry wood do not need 5 gallons of gas to ignite.

This appears to be a minute and a half of a French documentary showing police dog training. Four different "takedowns" with the most viciously trained dogs you will ever see. The first one is the most amazing of all: the dog takes out a guy driving a van, while the van is moving. He actually rips the guy out the window.

Troubleshooter 04-21-2005 11:28 AM

They aren't very well trained if they won't disengage on command.

Not the kinda dog you want to go up to and pet! "Aw, cute puppy, who's a cute little do... AGH! NOT THE FACE, NOT THE FAAAACE!"

That's why they're in training. If they were done with the training they'd be swaggering through town picking up bitches.

When I was a kid we had a town swimming pond that was basicly a sand bowl with a brook running in and out. The bowl was 360 deg and about 4 ft higher than the water.
One Halloween, we..uh ...some idiots, thought it would be fun to pour about 15 or 20 gallons on the water then call the fire dept and tell them the pond was on fire.
You know the rest...... :vader1:

Dear xoB:

This song's for you.
V.F.D.
Written by Michelle Shocked

Me and my friend and this boy named Eddie
We was bored one afternoon
We was sitting in the hay
It was a hot Texas day
And we was playing with matches like some kids do

We would throw our matches in the high dry grass
Close our eyes and count to ten
And then race the burning field
Doin' the toe and heel
We'd die laughing
We'd do it all over again

I'm singing
Where there's smoke there's sure to be a fire
Ready, steady, go, it was down to the wire
We was racing inevitability
We was making trouble for the V.F.D.
(That's the Volunteer Fire Department, now)

Oh, I'm sure that you know how this story goes
Our little fire ran out of control
Somebody called for the V.F.D.
It was not me, it weren't me, Jack

A-ha, they drive from fifteen miles away
So when they arrive, I'm sorry to say
That the field was black
Yes, and the sky was grey
And you know those barns they store hay in...?

A-ha, the volunteers all shook their heads
And then I recall one of them said
"This fire was no accident
No, this fire started with a match"

I slowly backed into the crowd
Me and Eddie we looked at each other
We never mentioned it to this day
But my friend, she went and told her mother all
Jesus!
(Can you believe that?)

She said
"Where there's smoke there's sure to be a fire
Ready, steady, go, it was down to the wire
We was racing inevitability, ma
We was making trouble for the V.F.D., ma
We was raising insurance premiums, ma
We was spreading fear of arson
We was spreading fear of arson
All around Kelsey"

I'm not real sure that wasn't something more akin to Coleman fuel. I just love the awesome power of five gallons of explosive vapor trapped beneath an enormous, essentially solid object being ignited by someone who isn't smart enough to comprehend the simplest laws of physics.

The spider thing was interesting, but icky.

Incidentally, I wouldn't recommend that "meet trashy women" website that's advertised in the sidebar. I recognized at least three of the trashy women from work. They are NOT coworkers, if you get my meaning.

BigV 09-02-2005 11:56 AM

I had to explain to DaughterofV the other day what a double entendre was. She knew, but wasn't familiar with the term. This would have been instructive.

I just thought the effects of the ipecac were interesting.

BigV 09-16-2005 11:49 AM

From here. Just curious, how many tablespoonsful do you think were in the bottom of that bottle? 10? 20? More? Compared to the oral dosage of 1-2 tablespoons, repeated once after twenty to thirty minutes, would you consider this an overdose? Perhaps it was diluted with water. The effects didn't seem diluted in any way. I hope that f*cker gave him his money.

Quote:

The dose of ipecac will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average doses of ipecac. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.

* For oral dosage form (syrup):
o For treatment of poisoning:
+ Adults and teenagers—The usual dose is 15 to 30 milliliters (mL) (1 to 2 tablespoonfuls), followed immediately by one full glass (240 mL) of water. The dose may be repeated one time after twenty to thirty minutes if vomiting does not occur.

Better take some Benadryl then.

On second thought, take two.

(That was a lot better than the Viking Kittens version, I must say. Actually I say that without the slightest drop of sarcasm, which, as you may come to understand, is unusual, to say the least)

Just what we need, a gov't functionary running around, performing catholic rituals on civilian properties.

Either he or his heirs will have to sue the manufacturer due to a lack of a label warning "do not exit moving vehicle during stunt show."

Troubleshooter 09-27-2005 12:36 PM

I was thinking six. One for each corner of the house and one for each non-adjoining corner of the porch. Each with a 270 degree FOV would cover the entire area around the house with some overlap.
