I was, but got booted out years ago (1995) just as things were getting crap.

They'd probably take you back now. They would probably take a one-eyed, one-legged (LGBT?) at this point. BTW, I'm not saying that's why you were booted, I'm just using that as an example.

I doubt there have been as many dismissals of gays in the military since the invasion. At this point "don't ask, don't tell" probably means don't get caught screwing the Colonels dog in the middle of the mess hall.
