Maybe not so much their "natural" predators, because for a type of canine raised as a lap dog for centuries their only predator might be the family's 2-year-old. What I was thinking was that if you were guaranteed multiple pregnancies with every coitus, that creates a terrifying geometric progression even if predators are in the environment.
