I disagree with these interpretations of JBK's posting...

JBK's used "this Holocaust", not "a holocaust", and even extended the idea into "murdering..."
I can't see that JBK was talking about a holocaust of tornado damage,
I suggest he did intend to reference the Holocaust in WW II.

... maybe HQ and others should relax and take a deep breath.

The biggest thing for me is the outrage thrown at jbk when he says shit about abortion or homosexuality or whatever. Lord knows I don't agree with him one iota, but if we are to 'understand' perhaps we could talk instead of screaming misogynistic homophobic freak of nature piece of shit at him.

On the same token, I think ibram wants understanding too, but yelling isn't going to bring it about. I think he should calm down, and give people who don't understand his choices a minute to mull something over before he throws out words like "twisted sick fuck."

And, I could be wrong, but my feeling is that is what henry was pointing out. We are expected to understand Ibram (and I want to) but we are not expected to understand one goddam thing about jbk.

What was a bit annoying about the whole trial was the hours of talking heads explaining what had happened in the courtroom that they weren't allowed to show or directly quote. I'm a big fan of CourtTV, but this was just ... oh well, it's probably better that I didn't listen to all of the testimony. It was probably nasty.
