Oooooooooh, Sheldon, there's only a few of us over here ....
|
And how gutted do I feel now...?

My gift that I want to send over the Pacific still hasn't arrived here yet. I fear my recipient is not going to have their pressie before the big day. :(
eta: Because I think a lot of my recipient, I'll be doing my utmost to try and make sure it does though. I might have to go and stick it on a plane myself even!!! |

I knew buying and posting would have been a stretch, so I can't be a misery. And I get my Christmas treat in 23 days! Still have to get my Secret Santa for school. At least there's no postage costs for that. But the Christmas Staff Room Buffet is £4. Ridiculous. I swear there will be leftovers equalling £20. We paid £1 for jacket potatoes the other week - I wonder where the extra money went? |

Gas , delivery fee ,,, etc,,,,,, I used to do the same thing Back in the day , But my taco bell order shouldnt have been over $3 , and I gave you a 5 ??? Sorry dude Gas cost ! |
Thing is, it was organised by a Teaching Assistant who bought them in a local supermarket. She's a good person, so I don't suspect her of scamming us. It's just odd. She supplied butter as well as margarine, but when I went to look for it in the fridge yesterday it had gone. Now I'm pretty much the only butter eater in the staffroom, so someone's taken it home.
I think the office suggested she donated the extra money towards the Christmas buffet, rather than having to track everyone down to refund them 40-50p. Note to self - take containers for leftovers on 14 December! |

Being well acquainted with Bel Ami DVDs and James Lear's books, I would be extremely grateful ;)

Margarine-eaters go for the butter at every opportunity. |
True dat.
She did admit that the reason she didn't buy butter at home was because her boys would eat it. Copious amounts of it, on any available comestible. When she buys spread they use only what they need. The staff fridges are stuffed with Flora and Clover. I imagine someone came across the butter and simply laid into it, eating it off the foil with a wooden spoon. Where is Arthur C Clarke when you need him? Oh yes, still dead. |
I have one item for my Secret Santa package ready, need to hit a couple of stores to complete it, I think.
