Well she got into it. And even spirited it up for homecoming. Here she is at the game, ready to cheer on the team playing a game she knows sweet FA about! :lol: Yes, we were all there. But this was the last we saw of her before she was swallowed up by the "student section"

And then her leaving for the dance -fashionably late.

Tomorrow, she's off to the homecoming dance of the highschool we are zoned for -with a whole group of friends from her summer swim team. I sit here assaulted by the smell of nail polish as she prepares. The hunt for the dress was much more traumatic as they have seen all her dresses (although in the end we ended up spending 12c to buy a silver trim from the thrift store to convert a skirt to a strapless dress), and they are all going out to dinner beforehand. and she's going to a friend's to get ready. AFTER an all-day swim meet.

yebbut that was after hours trekking round all the thrift stores because they have all seen all her party dresses before .....only to end up with her deciding to wear the one thing they have seen many many times because it's her favorite..... *sigh*

There is a definite difference in the smiles. The second one is that fake smile you give for the stupid camera and the first is one of genuine happiness. Shes a great girl, Monster - and you and Beest look appropriately proud in the graduation picture from the other thread.
