Trying to use SEPTA yesterday was a nightmare...and that's all I have to say about that.

My own personal opinion (and it's not like I have John, Anna, and the Streets Commissioner listening to me, but...) is that the city should have kept everything shut down yesterday. Quite a few people stayed home again yesterday anyway, and I think it would have given the city an opportunity to hit as many streets as possible, with minimal interference.

Since when did anyone in power in Philadelphia do anything that could even vaguely regarded as sensible?

Well, I heard that Big Ed helped save the city from bankruptcy, which sounds pretty sensible. But as long as I've been here, I haven't seen anything overly sensible.

Oh...Thacher Longstreth isn't running for another term as a City Councilman...now THAT'S sensible.

Okay, folks...if you haven't yet shoveled the snow off your sidewalk (or have not paid someone to do so), you are a worthless human being...the end.

Now then, if you have, great! Pat yourself on the back...good job! However...

Under that snow is a bit of ice. And if the temps fall low enough tonight, some of that melted goo will refreeze, creating more ice.

So people! You have to follow up on that shoveling. Maybe a little more shoveling, or some salt will do the trick.

Now, how does this apply to Cellar Dwellars? It doesn't, unless you live in the Far Northeast section of Philadelphia...

Here's the deal. If you live in the 3200-3300 blocks of Red Lion Rd., and you haven't cleaned up your sidewalk properly, and I slip and fall and hurt myself...

I'm going to sue the shit out of you. By the time I'm done, I will own your nice house, your nice cars, and for all practical purposes, YOU.

Off? I shoveled all the snow from my driveway ONTO the spot the sidewalk lies below. Only place it would fit that I could reach from the driveway.
