But damn the Seahawks deserved that win. They played great football. I only made it to halftime of the Colts but yeah, they lost too. Apparently I missed the last seconds show.

Philly got beat tonight, and my brother informs me that we needed Baltimore for the win against the Chiefs because the Ravens have a much better chance of beating the Steelers.

I love the playoffs!

The Patriots are going to dismember the Jets and either the Ravens or Steelers, can't wait to see it either!

To make it to the superbowl, you really have to have a defense....that is what history has shown us.
The New England Patriots do not have a good defense in any way shape or form.
The Patriots attack, when compared per unit to Patriots teams of the previous years, is without doubt, weaker, and lacking pieces.
The Patriots cannot stop other teams from scoring against them, which leaves very small room for error.
We've seen how bad Brady can be at times this season....the chances of the Patriots making it through the play-offs given all the angles, is very slim.

The Jets on the other hand, do have a defense, and a young qb who i rank much higher than tom, despite the lack of rings.
On a negative note, the Jets could just as easily have a 5-5 record as opposed to the 8-2 record they now hold....so don't be too deceived.

The Ravens and the Steelers are clearly the two greatest defensive forces in the AFC, and on any given day, can take out all teams mentioned above and below.
I'd have to give the edge the Ravens, who are better equipped on both sides of the ball.
I would not be surprised to see the Ravens in the AFC final.

NFC

The Atlanta Falcons have the best record in the NFL, and remain alone on top of the standings in the NFC.
The Falcons attack is the most fierce in the nfl with the running game of turner, QB Ryan is outstanding, and white is amongst the 3 best wr's in the game today.
The one thing the falcons lack is a defense which is clearly under par.
However, the type of attack that the falcons run, can allow this under par defense to at least be well rested on the sidelines.
If there is a team in the nfl that can win a superbowl without a defense, the Falcons are that team.

If you're looking for a defensive team in the nfl, look no further than the Chicago Bears, who have been the elite in the game over the past decade.
This particular season, the combination of Peppers and Ullracher is a total shutdown of any running game any team has to throw at them, not to mention the amazing ability of pass rush that peppers brings.
The attack is no worse than it was when the bears made the superbowl, if anything, its arguably better.
The Chicago Bears are clearly superbowl material this year.

The Packers do not trouble me in the least for various reasons.
Wouldn't it be funny to see the Rams in the play-offs with home field advantage? ...they are clearly a better team than the seahawks, but are a couple years away from truly being competitive imo.

It probably won't happen but I'll laugh my ass off if the Seahawks beat those defensive minded Bears you keep talking about HA!

Man Arron Rodgers performance today was amazing,I haven't seen that clutch of a QB in a playoff game since Joe Montana! 31 of 36 I think he was, just supurb football by the GreenBay Packers.

He was up against a well under-par defense.
He won't be looking so good against the greatest defense in the game of the Chicago Bears.

I'm thinking Bears over Jets for the Bowl, but I have been known to be wrong, and generally have my beloved teams rip my heart out.

But the Blackhawks did win the Stanley Cup, so there is hope.

All 4 teams left are all highly ranked defenses.

Stats do indicate a lot, however when looking at stats, one must consider the opponents faced to determine these stats.

For example, out of the 4 teams in question, there is no doubt, that the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers had pretty tough schedules, where the Jets and the Steelers had an overall easy schedule.

The Steelers are pretty amazing against the run, but not so much against the pass, although they do get a lot of sacks.

The Clear #1 Rush defense comes from the Bears, again, not so much against the pass.
The Bears just take the ball away from you.

The Jets are a balanced defense... good against both the rush and the pass.

The Packers are the weakest of the four teams against the run.
They play the pass rush well creating interceptions.

In the NFC final, the greatest miss-match that i see, is the Packers OL vs the Bears DL.
Having watched both very closely, how could someone expect this line to protect Aaron against this monster coming to get him?
Add to this equation the fact that the Packers have no rushing threat whatsoever, the Whole Bears defense will be looking at Aaron.
He's in trouble.
