"Daddy's potatoes" ...at least that's what I always called them when I was little. Nobody was quite sure exactly how to make them cause dad's a bachelor...whatever we have on hand is fair game. Found a can of diced potatoes in the cupboard today, and pieced together what the recipie must've been given what we had on hand today. Perfection.

(Got most of the way done before I decided to share with the cellar...Nom Nom Nom.)

Razz those look yummy.

I'm craving Mexican thanks to LJ's thread and all the South Western Dwellars who have good Mexican food within grabbing distance.

In truth I wouldn't know good Mexican food if it had a fiesta on my plate, but I'd accept any reasonable facsimile. Right now.

Chop sauce?
Daddy's?

Ahhhhh, Wiki suggests it's steak sauce to you. But this is the real deal.
Monster will have to confirm.

Ah!

I'm familiar with HP...you can buy it at some grocery stores here.

Hmmm...steak sauce on eggs...not my thing, but then again, I like ketchup and Heinz 57 sauce on eggs, so...:)

The UK is split - bacon, sausage (links) and egg are all breakfast items, and all generally accompanied by either tomato ketchup or brown sauce. I'm in the brown for all three, but I know people who pick and choose.

Even Subway & McDonalds offer brown sauce as a standard option.

Re - Is steak sauce the same as brown sauce?

No, but I don't know what steak sauce is. I don't like HP and I don't put sauce on my steak. But HP lovers here tell me they are not.

Steak sauce is darker and thinner in appearance.

Nothing. I no longer care to eat. Isn't that weird? Nothing tastes right anymore; even coffee is 'off'. When I do eat, I feel sick.

Here's to losing some weight!

Griff 05-10-2008 08:33 AM

Sorry. Did you say something? I was thinking about your butt.

Trilby 05-10-2008 08:37 AM

nice crossover! Are you a professor? (hopefully the radical, left-wing, crazy nut elitist kind? Coz I loooooove those)
