Planet Transylvania, of course. Just ask Riffraff and Magenta.

acually, studieshave shown that the best way to protect yourself is to say that you want it. Normally, the rapist gets pleasure in seeing that he is overpowering the victim. if the victim acts like they want it, then he wil not be aroused, therefore, not raping the victim. So, technically, you can't really ASK to be raped.

Could you cite some of these studies?

OT, but part of the drift.

Re kissing cousins - there was a debate recently about the prevalence in the British Muslim community for cousins to marry (keeping it all in the family) and higher than average birth defects among the same group.

The radio programme I listened to about it wasn't very helpful, consisting mainly of a phone-in of BMs calling the report racist and identifying healthy members of their own family - missing the point that the plural of anecdote is not fact. Still, it was an interesting point.

Personally, I think the abhorrance of incest is evoluntionally triggered - and I believe that knee-jerk homophobia is too. That's not to say that people can't be educated out of the latter. After all, unless religion enters the equation, many men who find gay sex repulsive are turned on by lesbianism - and from a viewpoint of purely reproductive origin a gay man is a dead end, whereas a lesbian woman can be forced to reproduce.

In fact many liberal and caring men I know still have the gut reaction to men having sex with men, even when they have gay friends and are totally supportive of homosexual rights.

Actually, studies should show that by asking for it you make it impossible to be raped; either you are consenting or nothing happens.

Actually, you're talking out of your ass.

Rape is a crime of violence, and the sex is incidental. Consent under duress is no consent at all, regardless of the words used.

Consent is a tactic to prevent rape. If she says, "Oh yeah, give it to me you big stud, fuck me hard", she'll ruin the thrill for him.
Then he'll lose his erection and just kill her instead. :eyebrow:

Yeah, xoB, I get your point. :eyebrow:

What I'm not sure I've made clear is my repudiation of Phage's position. It appears that (s)he's saying that by "asking for it" when faced the prospect of being raped, a woman can magically transform a rape into consentual sex. Or just as ridiculoulsly, prevent the rape. I call bullshit.
