Man, you always get good colors. Almost HDRish.

That's wonderful, ZG!

Bravo HM! I love them both.
By the way, the second picture is a textbook candidate for the HDR treatment. You should try it. I actually don't have any software that does it, but I know what you're talking about. You should be able to handle it easily, especially in light of your experience with stereoscopic images. |
Thanks!
My camera doesn't provide an easy way (as far as I can tell) to take the multiple exposures needed for HDR. I'd like to get a snazzier one some time, but have no immediate plans. |
srsly, two clicks from the same spot will do for the mechanics of the picture taking. The camera's "trick" would have to be to let you explicitly control the exposure. Expose the first picture so the lightest part of the frame is properly exposed, leaving the dark part really dark and then another snap from the same spot with the lightest part properly exposed and the bright parts blown out. Then ... overlay them... ok.. that's where the software comes in handy, but the idea's the same.
Now *I* want to try it... I'll be keeping my eyes open for a likely subject. |
I actually just discovered that my camera DOES have the automatic exposure bracketing. I may have to track down some of that software.

Excellent!
Link 1 PaintShop Pro X2 by Jasc/Corel Link 2 "Faking it" I'm sure you can google up the same kinds of reviews I can wrt PSPX2. The price was right and the reviews I read were very favorable. Please report back, with pictures! |

I noticed this attractive pattern on the roof of the car a couple weeks ago as I began the trip to work.

Wow -- You should have put the car roof shot in the "What is this?" thread. Very nice!

Thanks. The thought occurred to me, but I decided it would have been too easy. For us northerners, anyway. :p

I'm pretty north and I wouldn't have gotten it right away...looks like puddles on a tarp at first glance. (to me)
Nice shot :) |
