It would be like Zulu, Brain Dead/Dead Alive, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later, etc. No matter how well armed the smaller group is, the larger group will inflict serious damage.

Though in every one of these movies at least some of the defenders survive, so I guess I didn't really make a point.
